I'm new to the TL community but I've browsed your large database of StarCraft knowledge for years. Only recently did I realize you have quite a big following in EvE Online too. I've played EvE for almost 5 years now and still enjoy it. Recently, I dec'd The Hatchery with one of our ghost corps. Don't take this as smack or a grief tactic. It is more of a test to see how your EvE Online APM and micro skills compare with your StarCraft APM and micro skills. I expect good natured fights from both sides and wish your side good luck. If this conflict should escalate past the small skirmish phase then expect a full blown campaign against you and your allies. If you choose not to escalate then expect us to withdraw our forces. Except maybe cap ships that require multiple hundreds of millions of isk skillbooks to learn. Flying a good abaddon will take you a good amount of time. Probably at least 6 months from scratch if you consider your armor comps, minimum of amarr BS 4, large pulse laser spec 4, AWU 4, hull ups 5, all the gunnery support skills etc. When you consider that most people trained 5m sp worth of missile skills and Caldari BS first, it's not surprising that a lot of people can't pilot a reasonably fit abbadon.

I know right, eve micro is so intensive even prometheus has to do it mouse only. edit: i wonder if kizu finally has a mic that works Wasn't there a problem with his uni scraming the port the vent was on or something? P.S. T2 abbadons ftw, seriously everyone should fly a battleship atleast once, prefferably something armor tanked. The feeling you get during that 13s align time really is awe inspiring

Long story short: University scrams my packets so they can't warp away. Teamspeak equips a rack of warp stabs eventually. Have you tried flying an armor tanked Raven w/mwd? You do like a 10 second power drift off an shootout undock if you do it right.

Our overall losses after this fight were a rifter, a punisher, a manticore and a caracal. A salvager catalyst was killed too. We have only been able to kill 5 Hammerhead II drones ![]()

None of our regular FCs were online so Happy threw together a fleet and did his best to lead us. We engaged the brutix on a gate and he was quickly jammed, scrammed, and webbed; we set to work on his drones. We were nearly through his shield when he scooped his drones and was able to disengage and jump to his neutral friend in a guardian on the other side. What happened next was, in my opinion, due to the relative lack of experience of those of us present in the fleet. Our plan was to hit the brutix until the guardian began to rep him and then switch to the logi once he was red. This went as planned and things seemed to be going smoothly with both targets jammed. Unfortunately due to our low dps the guardian was able to disengage and jump away. Our mistake here was that our whole fleet was aggressed and had to wait to jump and in our haste to kill the guardian we had left the brutix without a point. He was able to warp to a belt and soon after docked up but not without leaving his drones. Not the best engagement but I feel like we did alright considering the circumstances, we only lost a Caracal which sadly deserved to die. Here is the KM for reference http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=8378552 Was a lot of fun for me, I missed most of the marsoc wars.

This makes logi killing incredibly tough in empire wars. But satisfying.

Unfortunately, things went awry as the Guardian met me (BB) and the caracal in Onga, on the Gyng out-gate. I jumped through to Gyng, still planning to rally the fleet in Frarn, but the Brutix was there in Gyng with all his drones out -- I waited out my session timer, and successfully burned back to Onga, with about half my shields down. At this point, everyone is rallying to Onga, and as soon as the Brutix jumps back through, we all jump him (mistake #1, one of our two rifters should've stayed de-agressed, but it worked out okay). We wear him down to armor, but he hobbles back to gate and jumps back to Gyng, along with the Guardian. I wait the 30 second aggress timer along with a couple of others -- I think the Caracal jumps thru, and proceeds to get wrecked. The rest of us jump back to Gyng, and this time the Guardian is red to us, indicating that he's repping the Brutix. But that's okay, since I slam them both with ECM, and I don't miss a single jamming cycle, keeping them permajammed. We're chipping away at the Brutix down to 75% armor, but the Hammerhead 2s are starting to rape me, so I warp out and try to warp back in asap. Somehow, I have no idea how or why, but the Brutix manages to warp out, and the Guardian jumps back to Onga. I think our tacklers switched to point the Guardian? (mistake #2) I tell everyone to spread out and cover the exits, as the Brutix is still in local, while I warp to zero to the only belt in the system...where the Brutix exactly is, at zero. I panic, and I immediately warp back out -- major mistake #3. I should've immediately told everyone to warp to me while I permajam the Brutix, and repeatedly bump him to prevent him from aligning and warping out -- doable, especially since he left his drones at the outgate. But I had panicked, and we lost the opportunity as the the Brutix docks up, and the fight is over. FUUUUUU I don't know how, but we let the brutix kill slip by us twice. Live and learn =T Damn it! P.S. Sorry Gemini, but I just have to post your caracal fit... =P http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=8378552 P.P.S. At least the caracal loss was only 1.3M net of insurance, and the hammerhead 2s were worth 2.5M =P So this OP was a net positive??? hahahha...
