Just wanted to update you all while I had access to a computer. As Kwark knows I had surgery on my lung last wednesday, I should have been out days ago but my lung isnt reinflateing, so pretty much just stuck to a bed with tubes coming out of my chest until they give me the all clear. One of my friends has been updateing my skills if you seen me log on. I will be back as soon as I can. | ||

To update, a decent day. Traded two t1 budget rifters (600k between them) for a WT ishtar kill (28m) earlier and then went on a nullsec roam that netted a brutix and a jag for no losses. Got a reimbursement wallet set up for Caelum who was solo FCing for the first time. Corp wallet is growing quickly and with motbob being who he is we should have war losses repaid in under a week while corp savings and investments are up by around 2b. No stupid losses and some excellent drills regarding the remaining WT. People kept each other informed where he was and what was going on, they asked intelligent questions and they scouted each other. Gonna let this war continue a bit simply because you impressed me. I don't think we're gonna lose anything from letting it run if you guys keep this up and it's good to let the newer members practice these drills for when it counts. | ||

We trap war target on a gate, have him pointed etc. His only exit is to jump through the gate where I wait in a rapier with everything preoverheated and drones out. He doesn't risk it, instead aggressing and attacking the rifter holding him in place. With his exit cut off I immediately jump in to join the fray, leaving my drones (like 90% of my dps vs frigates) behind. I have to go back and get them and he's able to deaggress and get out on low structure. He tried to do some more bs later and people tracked his movements and reported in corp chat so when he sat on a gate a little too long he got himself pointed and caelum dropped a cane on him. | ||

Okay, a wt in a single ishtar on station. No real threat I think so I undock the drake and fuck it up. He undocks 3 ex wts in RR ships and starts repping it up. I think two can play at that game so I get ueberlisk on pangell to start repping me and undock WP in an astarte. Now I think a scimitar is pretty simple (press f1 to make shit not die) and I have the single hostile enemy ship scrammed, webbed and it only has small guns so the only order I give him is to burn out. He undocks in the scimmy and about 30 seconds later he asks "so, do you want me to rep you?". "YES, YES I WANT YOU TO REP ME! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!?!? I TOLD YOU TO UNDOCK IN A FUCKING SCIMMY!?!??!" "okay..." about 30 seconds later my astarte is taking massive damage and I wonder wtf is up. The scimmy is now over 100k away and as far as he's concerned he's done nothing wrong. He's just following the one thing I asked him to do which was to burn out away from the scrammed, webbed, short range ship. So, I just lost an astarte to a single wt in a low damage ship while having a scimmy on the field. Fuck you guys. | ||

FC: 'Shoot the primary' and then half the fleet is not shooting it. Having massive RR available but half the fleet forget to call for it. Jumping into a gatecamp when the FC clearly said 'hold on gate'. Undocking just to get shot up. Not taking fleet members off overview, causing friendly fire. Fleet members not knowing when to warp out. Fleet members scattering over multiple systems. Add that up with the fact that any EVE player that hasn't seen a mountain of PvP action will generally be very nervous/anxious and you have a recipe for disaster. Generally, unless the scimi pilot has seen tons of PvP and flown said scimi a dozen times it may have just been the nerves. Doesn't an Astarte have massive Thermal resists though? Or was he using Minmatar drones? Otherwise deagressing may have been an option. ^this Astarte is a terrible ship when compared to the other Command Ships. | ||
