Now, I'm soon done with all my learning skills and really have no idea what ship I want to pilot. All I know is, I'd like to be somewhat useful in PvP, and be able to do those high-lvl missions eventually. ^_^

Yes, the point was gaming on the fact that prior to ENGAGING us it wouldnt be on the field so they wouldnt have a clue... obviously once its there they know what its about

Its safer and easier to just warp in a curse if you want to do neuting. A pilgrim that needs to go within overheated scram range to do its job isn't exactly as useful as a curse that can do it outside of normal point range. Could always go with the time honored faction fitted heavy neut curse! Kizu approved.

Pilgrims are terrible in gang combat. They are fat, slow, armor tank but don't have enough buffer for real RRing, and have ~12km engagement range. Use a curse. If you want cloaked scouting, a covops (or covert t3 tackler) does the job much, much better and much, much safer. A pilgrim running a proper gatecamp can be sketchy, and they compromise their fit to do combat probing.

Either way, neuting in gang combat is situational and only useful in certain situations. More DPS tends to work better as more DPS always scales, but it takes time to neut somebody out. Even then, most ships in gang combat are buffer tanked with no serious local tank, and if there IS a serious local tank, it will be cap injected and hard to shutdown. Curses are great ships, but neuting the primary or secondary is a total waste of time - you need to use it as an anti-tackle, anti-EW, anti-shenanigan platform.

Also, a single curse won't neut out a guardian/basilisk RR team - they simply generate too much cap, esp. if either pilot has logistics V. ECM and focus fire is the best bet if you need to get rid of them in a hurry - grab a falcon w/ pure jammers of the proper racial type, primary the one that's not jammed.

As mentioned I fly other ships as well, I use my Pilgrim primarily for solo ops.
For DPS I could bring a Shield Harby with heavy pulse or a T2 cruiser, tacklewise I still got a Crow lying around somewhere.
I could fit an Armageddon with T2 Pulses, would probably dish out a lot of hurt.

Everything with a heavy neut is amazing. 24km range, takes 2 cycles to kill cruiser cap. Pretty much the best mod in the game.

Faffy even flies canes with heavy neuts so he can kill vagas and cynabals.

Heavy neut curse sounds quite fun as well.

Hmmm, Minmatar space would be significant move (living in Amarr space), I'd probably have to leave my mission boats at the caldari or amarr border.
Even with Diplomacy, -4.97 is a bit tough to mission with.
Still, atleast I won't get shot at by NPCs.

If you guys want neuts I can trade in the Pilgrim for a Curse, or just get both.
Can probably neut a lot more than a Geddon, although it won't bring nearly as much DPS to the table.
Then again it can neut from miles away which has its uses.

if you need standings its np to tag along with other people and share reward until you have enough.
