Honestly, I'd just like to see us all back in fleet, wrecking everything in our path. Regroup the hatchery and this time let's treat our noobs like newbro's. Also, how is our old YZ delve pocket these days? IIRC the income down there rivaled FW in it's current LP values.

We wouldn't really use a dedicated covops since we also have a link pilot for that sorta thingthing.
Ok. Ill try to read a bit up on the interceptor then. And do cov ops by myself if I feel like it.

I didnt have a problem running with no em ward. A painter is very helpful, both vs the bs rats and the industrials.
Also I think I ran double bcs

Had cpu issues without launcher rigging V with twin launcher rigs, 2x bcs, iffa and painter. Needed 2 rigs cause limited missile skills.

Is the DC really necessary? You're dead regardless if you get caught, so why not nano and 2xBCS.

the alpha from a wrecking shot mission BS is actually quite dangerous, it generally one-hit kills if you don't have an MSE for example

Right now I'm working like 60 hours a week at work, and since Minnie looks like they're going to get T4 and maybe even T5, I'm going to use this time to make some iskies, since I'm not as sprich as you.
Bleh. This exactly. The FW corp I got referred to is not Min and not even T2 and no sign of going T3+ anytime soon.
If this is the case, I can prob cap some medium plex for a few hous and make some iskies. Then again, I have enough iskies to afford the Merlins I fly.

Work tends to suck away any ability to commit serious chunks of time to video games, but I would kill the listen to kwark's sweet sweet voice berate me for the smallest of mistakes in piloting one more time.

DCU is your best bet imo, since it can't be shut down by neuts easily (amarr rats neut up close, which is where you kindof want to be to speed tank).
I highly doubt this is the best fit, but it works well, and survives a 2nd wrecking shot, which is crucial in preventing you from dying and having to go reship rather than continue missioning.....
+ Show Spoiler +http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=20553111Mining laser is offlined, just as a heat sink (I thought that it does make a difference having an offlined mod in the slot to absorb heat, that may not be the case, and something more useful could go in that spot). T2 launchers are nice because they hold more ammo before having to reload, on one of the missions that means you don't have to reload to complete it, which gives a minor improvement in missioning speed. As a warning, interceptors have a much better chance of catching you after the warp speed changes.....

2 BCU co-processor
1mn AB T2 Azetropic MSE target painter
Torpedo launcher T2 cov ops cloak
hydraulic bay thruster rocket fuel cache
this is how I fly my purifier, fits without implants when you got launcher rigging to 3 or 4, when you got rigging to 4 or 5 you might be able to fit a regolith MSE have not tested that yet
|
I wont pretend to be any expert on FW bomber fits- but if you are all struggling to fit for CPU the using arbalest launchers or a hound / manticore is going to make your life much easier.
|
arbalest launchers are fine, I just use T2 for the damage boost. You pretty much have to use the purifier though, without it you would probably not be able to do the L4 missions that involve killing a battleship
this is what you can do with arbalests
[Purifier, New Setup 1] Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II
1MN Afterburner II Medium Azeotropic Ward Salubrity I Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron
Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher, Caldari Navy Mjolnir Torpedo Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher, Caldari Navy Mjolnir Torpedo Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher, Caldari Navy Mjolnir Torpedo [empty high slot] Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Small Processor Overclocking Unit I Small Hydraulic Bay Thrusters II
72km torpedo range and 560 DPS
with all relevant skills at 5 you can actually fit a T2 MSE on this fit. Or a Regolith MSE when you dont have all 5

Just had a ten minute argument with a guy active armour tanking his merlin including the phrase "yeah but they'll load EM against a merlin and that won't work well because I don't have a shield tank".
He maintained, to the end, that his merlin was better for it than, for example, an incursus because "I even killed a wolf".
|
If solo then the armor merlin isn't completely garbage. You can dual web or web/td and use it as a unexpected scram kiter, or be able to actually disengage from scram kiting ships such as crucifiers. However beyond that specific use the merlin is much better using an mse or masb, and obviously you don't armor tank it when tackling for a gang.

So I think the CFC are in deceptively poor shape. Razor seem okay but LAWN can't hold their shit together at all, LI3 are more of a joke than LAWN, GENTS are throwing in the towel, who the fuck are SMA, FA try hard but can't hold the entire west together themselves, INIT and Fweddit are just doing their own things, outside of goons the CFC is actually falling apart.
B-R5 was impressive but if you look at the super contributions from the non goons it's basically all Razor.
Oh, EXE exist as well. And FCON. And CO2.

The context is always different, but that was my impression since I first had a brush with null sec. CFC is goons, everything else is just smoke and mirrors. That's why people try to "graduate" out of CFC alliances directly into goon proper, because all the ally shit is just well-maintained pretense. CFC members are allies in the same way that shareholders who (collectively) own 49% of a company's stock have essential input into the operations of a company.
