Having a quick scan, some of the following:
- Heavy/Sentry Drone Operation V
- Thermo V
- Max Gunnery supports (Surgical Strike/Trajectory Analysis)
- Navs (Acc Control V, High Speed Maneuvering V)
- Biology + Neurotoxin Control + Neurotoxin Recovery so you can use drugs
- Electronic Attack Ships

Are destroyers good now? I benefited from them splitting the BC skills, but now I have four destroyer skills that are all level 1.

Also, did they change how the refresh timer on sec status changes. I feel like I rat for a long time and I only get one round of changes. Do you have to be logged in for it to change, because I thought when I logged out I would get some more updates.

Destroyers are pretty good ships. They're very cost effective hulls imo.

Thermo 5 is a good skill to get.
Gunnery supports will help with any ship that you're flying that uses turrets. Because of how falloff works, 5% may not seem like much, but as soon as you get into any kind of decent falloff distance, you will actually have a significant increase in dps at that range.
I maxed navs and other than the fact that I did it before I even got a T2 weapon system, I have never regretted it. There are some ships out there which have very tight capacitors, so getting the most out of it makes a big difference.
Drugs are bad. Mkay? But seriously, they open up a lot of possibilities for what you can do with your ships. You probably won't use them often, but the skills make a big difference when you do want to use them.
EAF's are great. Amazing. Get that skill to 5.

What ship should I work towards if I want to start doing 1v1 PvP in a speed tank or what it is called. I am pretty "young" and is currently flying omen (I have trained for amarr stuff). I have read the the interceptor is good but is there anything out of the ordinary that would catch people by surprice as I can see this is one of the best ways to win alot of PvP. Having something people "thinks" is weak.

Just if anyone could point me in a general direction.

Slicer. It's a very solid pvp ship that you've already got a lot of SP towards from the sound of it.

Coercers are really good too.
