Pretty shit tbh. Especially when we had 14 guys online of which only 6 weren't afk. We should be smashing that kinda stuff. A 7 man corp who knows how to get 4 members on at the same time is currently owning our 100 man corp which can't seem to. Still, at least I've learned that next time someone says "yeah, I decided to undock about a minute ago and then aggress the battleships and not tell anyone so I'm currently on half shields and want reps" I should tell them to fuck off and I hope they lose their ship.

However a domi and a cynabal were on there way and arrived shortly afterwards. The phoon disengaged and docked with low health while the drake and the cane died (3-0 to them overall). Dex then showed up in his drake to save the day. He docked in the station being camped, undocked without telling anyone, attacked the camp (phoon, domi, crusader and cynabal) and killed the crusader. Then he demanded reps (at 52% hp before anyone even knew he was undocked despite being on vent). So I undock in a scimmy and warp to him at range. Midwarp he tells me he's redocked. So now I'm warping onto grid with a cynabal and there's not even anyone else to distract them. Naturally I immediately try and warp anywhere else but cynabals are fast and he grabbed me with a longpoint. I can't outrun him or anything so I have to burn right at the station with mwd and invulns overheated. I die at 1.4k off station spamming dock, our first big loss of the war. Pretty shit tbh. This is incorrect. I was on my way from Ammold and warped to the station at 50km, which put me approx 30-60km from their fleet. The crusader then attacked me as I burned towards station, and I killed it and de-agressed. Being 2AM in my TZ and me coming off a late-night shift, I made a bad call and told Kwark to warp the scimmi in. Then Kwark, after playing too much eve and panicking, didn't approach the station properly and got popped 4k from the dock.

First of all I know I could find most of these questions quite easily but it's pretty late so I figured I'd just ask here. I've been looking for an mmo to waste my life on for some time now since I have pretty much nothing to do for the next 6 months. Some questions though, I've heard this game is quite passive since the skills level up automatically. So is there anything else I can do except do quests and activities mentioned in the OP for ISK. I.E. Grind stuff for ship parts etc or is ISK the best way to get basically everything? Basically I guess I'm wanting something that gives a feeling of achievement which is often given by levels or gaining gear in other games and I just haven't found that feeling in gaining money in any MMO. Also I love PvP quite a bit and I'm wondering what kind of rewards does the game offer for a PvPer. Last but not least does the game have any kind of PvE that could be relatable to the usual types of MMOs like boss fights in particular. Thank you for your time in advance if you have some time to adress my questions.

Last but not least does the game have any kind of PvE that could be relatable to the usual types of MMOs like boss fights in particular. Thank you for your time in advance if you have some time to adress my questions. EDITED: 1) In EvE ISK is everything, Players make everything. There are no NPC shops that make items for a certain amount of money. The market is player driven. So I can make ships and then sell them on the market, supply and demand makes the prices. This is why ISK is so important. You don't grind for gear, you grind for isk so you can buy the gear that other players made. 2) In EvE, ISK is similar to XP from other games I think. In the way that ISK determines that you can and cannot do. Depending on how much ISK you have, you may or may not have enough isk to buy a ship, fit it, heck you might not be able to afford the skill book in order to learn to fly it... You DON'T fly anything you cannot afford to lose, every time you leave a station you expect to lose your ship because other players will kill you (looking at you KwarK). So ISK is very important, without it you cannot replace a lost ship or move on to a better ship, without ISK you cannot do anything in EvE... just like the real world. 3) The OP has the more or less best ways to get ISK for new players, as you play the game and get skills more options open up to you. These options are the most cost efficient and productive ways to get a lot of ISK fast. Me I trade, not on the list, but its what I do. Its PvP of the mind. You put up scams, and try to avoid scams, while trying to find a booming or floundering market to capitalize on before anyone else does. In trade its VERY VERY VERY VERY easy to lose money, but has the possibilities for you to make the most ISK in EvE. 4) If you do not care about ISK really, and are one to buy time cards to pay not only for your play time, but in order for you to get ISK (you can buy time cards and trade them in to the game for PLEX and sell those on the games market for ISK). Then you can jump right into PvP, but most players are unwilling to do that, and as such seek out PvE "jobs" to supplement the PvP fun. 5) EvE is like 99% PvP and 1% PvE. No where is safe, people can and will kill you for any reason. They will try to rip you off, and you should trust no one not even your best friend, or you will get stabbed in the back. That's EvE for you, its a harsh place but its a great place. 6) In EvE you can make a lot of ISK PvP'ing, being a pirate can be profitable, or what we are doing being extortionists = very profitable. As a pirate, you kill other players. Take what drops from their ships, and ransom off their pods for more isk (basically say "will kill you if you don't give me X amount of ISK now" and if they don't pay you kill them, if they do pay you let them go. Killing industrial ships can give you HUGE amounts of ISK for very little work... but few indi pilots fly out of high sec. As an extortionist... we thats what the Hatch is doing now. We go to war with a PvE corp, and kill their pilots, then tell them "give us ISK and we will leave". 7) The biggest achievements in EvE come from what you have done. tHornton took a tiny little rifter and killed a stabber, something that should of killed him. We have done other things like this and this is fun and exciting. You tell stories of the great battles you have done. You use your game know how to kill another player and you feel amazing. Did you just juke a gank? VoV flew through I think 9 systems with a whole gang on his tail to get away Did you participate in a large battle? The Hatch went into a gang fight 10 ships vs 14 ships, and we came out with a 3 kills to 0 losses kill board. Did you kill an indi ship worth billions? We have yet to do this... but you might... EvE is a world of possibilities you just have to get out there and try to achieve them. Pick a job you want to try, try it out and play... you never know you might just love mining and aspire to fly a Hulk one day .

War targets tried a bait and sneak attack in emol coming from eifer but caelum terra is really good at this and busted it. So they came in with a 14 man RR BS gang and we declined to fight. After sitting docked and bored for a while I asked them if they wanted to do a drake 1v1. I quite like 1v1s in wartime cause they break up the boredom of camping when one side usually declines to fight. They accepted, went to a planet with me and then blobbed me. Tried to ransom me and make me say things in local but obviously after that I wasn't interested. You only get one shot at building up trust. Anyway, I guess they really needed the kill after I killed the dram. Won't be doing that with them again. But it can't have really built up that much pilot moral to have their only kill be a drake that agreed to 1v1, hardly bodes well for the future. Still, we're

One advice thou, it's good to have a set goal in EVE right from the start. I'm not talking about "Fly X ship", I mean more of an accomplishment, see EVE doesn't have achievements and there is no such thing as "end level content" so setting up a goal for yourself is always nice. What that goal is going to be? That's up to you.
