Anti tackle. Sometimes youll have a frigate or whatever heat you down and scram you. Dual webs means you deal much more damage and can kill him before a second scram lands on you. Keeping things at range. This is for situations where the other guy is faster than you but you can heat your webs and keep him from landing a scram. This was very much the case before the cruiser buff when you would use single and dual web drakes and the webs would allow you to control the fight much easier. Its less often seen now because linked cruisers go so fast and have such little relative hp you just dont get into many situations where it becomes a commonly used tactic. Securing kills. This also goes back to before the cruiser buffs where you would want to at some point agressively web your target to prevent it from leaving the fight. This was standard as a drake vs a nanocane or cynabal in most situations. Now again since cruisers go so fast you dont see this nearly as often. While the webs are not quite useful in the situation you described, you can just pull the orbit and go afk trick and just not worry about it due to the massive speed difference between the ships and the fact that you start at range. | ||

even without link adv, imagine the situation where a scram holding ship is burning towards you at a speed faster than you are, if you mash the web button then he will be slowed enough that he might not be able to land the scram on you. Remember you will be burning away from him while he slows down. | ||

So it looks like a little over a day after the fact that most of the loss on the sov front has been rectified. Apparently Nulli is back in control of all of the stations lost and has reclaimed all of the territory with minimal interference from SOLAR. N3 + PL pretty much bounced around with over 100 supers last night and took care of everything before any SOLAR TCUs could even finish onlining. Pretty impressive damage control. I think the card could have been played way better. had they executed the sov drop during Russian primetime SOLAR TCUs could have been well on their way to being online if they had coordinated it well. But its looking mroe and more like this was just a guy who had roles and a grudge rather than a CFC plant, he apparently approached CFC for instructions on how to carry out the deed. The isk blow is inconvenient but not insurmountable. I don't think anyone counted on PL showing up like they did to help but they have a significant investment in the area after evicting SOLAR recently that they apparently got very mad about the whole thing and rage grinded with supers all night. Fun times. | ||

You have more EHP than the vaga, and only slightly less than the cynabal. When fighting the Vagabond: Do not throw your point on him, until you see him align / try to warp away. Vaga pilots are really stupid, and will think that they have the advantage in this fight. Use this cockiness to your advantage. You both have really shitty caps, so you need to be careful with yours. You will win this fight, if you can keep the vaga around 26/30K The idea is to not let him get on top of you. You have more dps at range than him, you have better agility and more speed. All you have to do at this point is kite. Load Nova Fury and rape his face. Vagas have about 22K ehp to EXPLO damage, while you have 35K+. Should be an easy win. When fighting the Cynabal: This match is much harder (Again cap conservation is key here. they will be cocky and think your an easy kill. Don't put your point on them unless you see them aligning out), A properly fit cynabal will be able to hit you for ok damage around 25/30. While you will be doing more to him, he has more EHP (A small amount) and it will be a close one to call. However I have seen very few properly fit cynabals in my day- so don't be to alarmed if you see one- because it is mostly likely shit fit (just like vagas) You are faster, so you can always disengage if you want. Ideally you want to load Mjolnir Fury, and like the vagabond keep at range. Do not let him get close to you. There is another fit that is also quite good. Its the exact same thing, except you drop an LSE for an AB, and you can go dual prop. With a fit like that, its very possible to sig tank most of the incoming damage. But Dual prop fits are a bit more complex, and because your new I will not confuse you yet with that added foolery. | ||
