Permanent war decs will be fixed in Retribution. We have made it so that in a mutual war, the original aggressor has the option of retracting the war. And by "we have made it so", I mean Punkturis has made it so.
Well, it's getting there anyway
Haha not shit CCP. 150 random alliances getting terrorized by dec shield? working as intended. Goons got trapped in a mutual war? This needs fix
Goons trapped the group they stupidly dec'd using Dec Shield to prevent it being spread to other entities, so I'm not sure really how annoying it would have been for them (apart from sov transfer mechanics which is not really that much of a big deal)

As someone with no knowledge of anything to do with wormholes, what ships do I need to fly to be helpful to you guys? I was thinking of joining if possible, just to give me a taste of another aspect of EVE, and was just wondering.

Basically fleets are business as usual, we are living out of a WH so that we have access to a wide variety of nullsec systems to roam so that we don't farm out the locals. We are still flying nano fleets though so Merlins are still awesome. If you are looking for longer term trains I would say Talos/Tornado/Oracle are good long term goals. We are still working on the logistics of having new guys in the hole; hopefully we will have something concrete to roll out in a few days.
Now for a short BR. The day before we had moved into the WH through our nullsec static, so it didn't have much mass or time left. After it collapsed we probed down the new static, and it emerged in Esoteria, a Sov Nullsec region south of Stain that is currently being taken over by HBC pets (think FA but worse). Our static popped us out within ten or so jumps of some good activity, so we decided to check it out. Along the way we messedwiththelocals. After having some fun with the local bears we make our way into OSUF-3, where it turns out the activity was a SBU bashing fleet. We get a warpin on a Naga and then have a nice skirmish. We would have gotten more kills but the ~40 man SBU bashing fleet had a Rapier, which obviously isn't good for a Tengu's health. However the Rapier was a coward and we managed to sneak in a few kills anyway.
We then left to harass Tribal Band bears, but most of them docked up as we entered local except for one Maelstrom which turned out to be afk. After finding nothing else to shoot we went back to the hole. Nothing spectacular but it was pretty fun and a good start to our WH adventures.

EDIT: Happy birthday kollin!
Sweet, I'll just keep going along the same path I am then, as a T3 BC is what I was aiming for. Thanks for the birthday wishes too! :D

Words of advice, scanning skills on your chars all of them, and always carry a probe launcher.
With the excitement Fading fast We decide to collapse at long last No Hic pilot online "Don't worry it will be fine" Wormhole gets to critical mass 100MN Rupture top of its class Wormhole collapses, stuck in Fayth Wish I stayed in the POS like Aeth Start to make the arduous trek back Not a soul was stirring, not even a HAC Nullsec so empty, no one out to play The exception being Amamake

What a great day playing Eve today. Havent enjoyed it so much forna long time. Went for a little roam up the pipe in the talos and there was an Fa ibis stuck in the bubble, before i knew what happened i had the ship and his almost full set of +5 implants in the log. Went back picked up the proteus looking for engagements, tried to get a raven but he jumped and almost a talos. Went roaming jumped into CR and lo n behold was full of lawn peoples. Bit of banter went back and forth and i ended up t1 cruiser 1 v 1 full honour, i lost the first fight, asked for rematch and i won the 2nd then i lost the decider but this game is so cool sometimes. Sometimes it seems to be a grind but days like today i like it
