Beautiful, isn't it? Go to Youtube for an HD version. Anyway, here's what happened this weekend. Goons were trying to eradicate GBC towers in a system called i1y. ![]() You can see that if Kenzoku had been able to gain influence in that system, it would have been very harmful to the Goons. However, it turns out that taking a Sov 3 system under a jammer with Titans in-system is difficult. The jump bug also made things difficult for Kenzoku, as jumping through a gate brought with it the chance of crashing the game client. Since the gates were all bubbled, logging off meant certain death.

I can start doing the daily political updates if people want me too but there will be a natural bias as I've been a part of Goonfleet since before they/we left syndicate.

5/21 This weekend is Memorial Day. On Friday, we go on the offensive. Our allies are returning from the North, having handily slaughtered Triumvirate, and bringing new 'friedns' to the party. Our Eurotime contingent will be restored, and we will be smashing enemy fleets and towers nonstop. I expect pitched battles in every timezone. It is time for us to bring out the long knives and the cruelty, to meditate upon the unending ***gotry of all things Molle, and to lust for vengeance. Querious, Molle says, is where this war will be won. His plan is now obvious. KenGoku intend to sink their roots deep into our buffer region and drop outposts to transform it into a secure staging point for long-term warfare against Delve. After I1Y falls, ED (next door) will be hit, and then a single new outpost will give him a Sov4 adjacent to empire. This is critical for his bandwagon of pets, who own no space and mostly live in lowsec; they must have a 0.0 station close to where they belong. In order to accomplish this, over the past week our enemies have dropped more than a hundred towers, mostly in our bridge systems and R64s. P4, which contains two R64s, is a particularly egregious example; there are 33 KenZoku towers there, and no station - yet. We must scourge this cancer from Querious before it spreads and strengthens. If KenZoku is allowed to settle without opposition, their membership will surge and we will be starved out of Delve. Querious contains 40% of our alliance income as well as our logistics route to empire. Without it, we will be cut off and Delve will wither and die. We have been slowly losing stations while our allies were away, but they are returning and now it is time to regain lost ground. Avail yourselves of our expanding reimbursement programs. Enjoy the resources you have ripped from Molle's grip. If we capture and secure more R64s, these programs will continue to expand. Fleet BS, Dictors, Battlecruisers, Stabbers, Mallers and Covops are currently offered. Logistics and Heavy Interdictors are being considered next. After that - IF we secure our space - the sky is the limit. This is your alliance, and you will be rewarded for your efforts. There are no other fronts. There is only Querious. See you Friday. Through Monday and beyond, we fight. this wasn't much of an update it was a 'ok lets 0wn' rallying cry vOv 5/22 As of downtime, we have a 240+ coalition fleet without any of the new friedns, just the usual crowd of RZR, GS, PL and ZAF. Even with this, we have wreaked havoc. We hit towers in I1Y, 3 of them, so fast that RKZ couldn't time them; they come out in our primetime. We've already killed a RKZ R64 at P4. They have 38 towers in this system and yet own none of the two R64s there. Due to a ****up during our 'bleed towers' over the last week, they grabbed one of ours in 5V; they have four R64s total, now. Log in, x up, strap in - we must burn out the infection. this was a short update because we were busy 0wning 5/23 Massive, stunning ****. I'm having trouble keeping track of it, so much has been done in the past 24 hours, so I'm just going to summarize and miss some stuff. We have removed yet another RKZ R64, in OGY. It is safely in RZR hands. Kenny lost their P4 R64 as well yesterday, so their total is now 3 - one in 5V (Which should be ours, damn it) and two in 49. This is not close to enough to cover their fuel bills. In I1Y we have ****d. Like yesterday, we formed en masse at downtime and commenced 0wning. Like yesterday, we had to make a second fleet because we had so many goons and allies show up. Like yesterday, our new coalition allies hadn't even arrived yet, meaning that this turnaround in the past two days is something we have accomplished ourselves - and yet overwhelming reinforcements are still arriving through euro evening time tonight from RAWR, Mostly Harmless, CO2, and IRON. Apparently Majesta came also and didn't tell anyone, so PL shot them. Whoops! RKZ towers were blown up. LWTAX towers were dropped in to replace them. We are now even with our foe, 25 large to 25 large; the system hangs in the balance. We MUST succeed tomorrow if we have any hope of defending Sov 3. This is why we have called the alarm clock. DBRB outwitted the -A- and RKZ fcs when we began the purge of I1Y today. He yammered endlessly in fleet about how we were going to make a play for -A-'s lowsec R64s. He even had a goon scout fire off cynos in those systems and acted disappointed in teamspeak while an 'error' meant the cyno wasn't ready, or unfueled, or offlined by accident. Our fleet was waiting at a Titan to bridge from 9CG, impatient. Meanwhile, the I1Y jammer was onlining. -A- was waiting in lowsec for us. One minute before I1Y onlined, a cyno fired, and all of our capitals and subcaps streamed into I1Y, where only RKZ was there to defend. Without -A- to hold them up, RKZ was scythed down like preschoolers in front of a combine harvester. We proceeded to abuse the fact that we had seven-odd titans. At one tower which RKZ vainly tried to save, PL parked four of these space-dongs and let them sit, periodically doomsdaying. 110 battleships were killed. That's a lot of carnage. All day we have been sieging. All day we have been kiting. But success is not yet in our grasp - we have staunched the bleeding of the last few days, yes, but have not yet gained. Everything hinges upon our ability to keep the I1Y jammer up tomorrow at 8:00 EVE, to maintain system control and purge the 10+ towers we can expect to come out of reinforced. See you tomorrow morning. (also, why do they keep primarying me, what did i ever do to them???) Also: Sam popped his DD cherry: http://killboard.goonfleet.com/player/SamHandwich 5/24 On the one hand, I want to write a congratulatory blowjob sort of war update. While we have done very, very well, we must alarmclock again for 8:00 tomorrow to secure our victory, or we'll be quagmired in I1Y once more and Xttz will be sad. Please don't make Xttz sad. Gentlemen, the stunning reversal you have accomplished in the past two days may yet redefine 'strategic whiplash', if we are able to cement our successes on Monday morning. Two weeks ago, Molle summoned everything his 'patience' could offer: his sycophants, more than a hundred towers, nineteen separate alliances, and the combined capital might of -A- and RKZ. With this, he hoped to end the war in Querious and push on Delve. As of today, RKZ is now in even worse shape than they were before their offensive began, having lost most of their I1Y efforts, being cut down to 3 R64s, having taken no new space and facing a rejuvenated coalition. Mere days ago: Originally Posted by La la la lante on SHC Another tower killed in i1y. I could be wrong but I'd be pretty surprised if its not BoB Majority by downtime. Pretty damn quick for a 100% towered 50+ moon sov 3 with cynojammer and jump bridge. Yeah, Molle sure showed us what a hellpurge is. How's that midlife crisis coming, old man? The blow-by-blow. 200 of you and our allies showed up for an ungodly 8:00 alarmclock, an act of impressive dedication and hurf. Our titans logged on en masse. The enemy was completely unable to act in I1Y; -A- could not break in (and had a paltry 100, compared to our fleet). Instead, -A- whacked two capitals at a 9CG bridge then spent 40 minutes jump-bugging back to 49 through realspace; their only 'good fight' was against the stargates. In I1Y, Molle announced to his fleet that they were 'out of options' and that the system was 'probably lost'. 17 towers were destroyed. RKZ had a regroup ready for 18:00 and hoped to form at a SYS-K tower, one of the few staging towers remaining. We parked fourteen titans in a conga outside of thier tower. RKZ ragequit and gave up. Now we must resist the urge to declare victory and ride bikes. You all know of Xttz's plan for Sov4ing I1Y. This requires that we not only secure I1Y tomorrow by destroying every last hostile tower. We must run around the region mopping up the detritus of Molle's 'hundred tower' pet-spam, in places like A-B, W6V, and the R64 towers. He has given us enough towers to have a reprise of the Great Purge of Delve, another 100b of RKZ assets to destroy - if we can summon the will.

![]() Aurra: seeing as how our main source of info is Mittani's updates, I don't think bias will be much of a problem. ![]() Aurra / motbob / anyone: can someone please explain why (iirc) I1Y is a key bridge system, and what makes systems key bridge systems in general? I'm under the impression that jump bridges are structures (maybe POS modules?) built by an aliance once they obtain sov 3 in a system. In that case, I don't see why a lost bridge system couldn't be easily replaced.
