mouse over your bonus damage stats after you select one of melee/range/force drag down box on your character screen

This is exactly how I'd describe the game. And the lack of Macros is frustrating. Totes wand to bind a FUS RO DAH macro to force shout.
Sometimes it feels like an MMO or a grind, especially when you go to an objective, killing everything in your way, and then discover on your way home that all the baddies have respawned and you've got to fight your way out again. Kinda frustrating.
That being said, the story and personal quests are really snazzy. I actually feel like my character is important, has her own history/plot, and is making important decisions. Flashpoints and such are also really nice and instantly dispel any "this is a grindy MMO" feelings, (at least until you're back to regular mundane quests).
One big gripe I have though is PvP. No level brackets? LOL wtf. I queued up for my first warzone ever last night, and it was lotsa fun BUT, I was in there (as a lvl15 nooby), with a bunch of other chumps ranging from 12-50. Level 50 characters killin' mah lvl15. Now this game isn't nearly as stratified as WoW for example, (I was actually able to deal damage to high level characters), but it still wasn't really a contest if that lvl30 bad guy wanted me dead.
Oh, I also haven't run into a single enemy faction player yet. I dunno if that's just because I'm still a lowbie, but I was hoping that warzones would be empire vs republic.
Game is amazing so far, this will easy replace any other mmo for me in between dota practice my only issue with the game is how unresponsive characters are in combat but bioware said they are working on a fix to make things feel more responsive like they were in wow
Level 38 Sith Jug, and boy am I having fun. Only problem is I havent been able to find an orange black sith style chest piece with a hood. Kinda makin me sad. I'm gonna have to go back to all the specialty vendors to see if they sell chest pieces.
Next character going to HAVE to be a stealth one. It is so darn annoying to clear a non phase dungeon, then have to fight my way back through it even though I already did the bonus quests.
I also think I am like one of the highest level people on my server. Each new planet I go to (Hoth atm) I am the only one there. Kind of fun being all alone TBH. I definitely made the right choice to join a light pop server on release day. No q, and now it has grown to standard size population.

Twin spears republic
damn im sith on infinite empire but i might reroll on ur server cause i picked marauder which sucks cause sub 50 its worst of all worlds being non-burst, melee, with garbage for stuns/cc and huttball makes me want to gouge my eyes out. what level u at now?

I didn't get my first gank until level 30 lol. But I'm betting the no level bracket thing is temporary since there wouldn't be enough players in the higher level brackers at the moment. Time will tell...

Character responsiveness and ability delay have been lumped together in most of the questions. Here's one of them:

Game is still pretty sick, loving my character progression through the story line. Flashpoints are very fun, doing that with friends is sick. I sense some huge grinding coming my way now to get to 50, but thats when the game seems to actully start at max level. So excited to see what comes through for my storyline.
About to hit lvl 38 on my gunslinger, having alot of fun so far. The cover mechanic was a bit frusterating at first but ive gotten used to it, i think im gonna have alot of fun playing a gunslinger at 50.
Im gonna make an empire character next though, to get a completely different experience ^^ should be fun.
Also seeing scoundrels stealth around and use their shotgun makes me jealous if the storylines werent the same and they had more differentiation in abilities i would roll a scoundrel as well, hopefully the sub class's differentiate more as the game develops and it may actually be worthwhile to re roll for a different sub class.
Also i really like the social features when your in group, rolling to see who gets to say what reminds me of pen and paper rpg s
Good times though this is the most fun ive had in an mmo ever. Also for anyone who thinks that only their personal class storyline is important, the planet storylines can be just as entertaining if not more so if you pay attention, so much time and detail was put into alot of these quests especially the big chains like the bonus series at the end of each planet.
I actually heard that some planets have multiple bonus series and some are for much higher levels, my friend said there was one for narshadaa at lvl 32 and narshadaa is a lvl 22-26 planet i beleive.
Edit: Im playing republic on warrior of the shadows, the server is full but queue's are minimal, hit me up if your already on the server or planning on joining i have a guild with a bunch of my friends and i can toss you an invite.
oh 1 more thing i have to say, that annoyed me (even though i love this game to death) when you ctrl click to preview an item the graphics for the preview are horrendous compared to the in game graphics (at least on my computer) it doesnt give me a very good idea of what the item is gonna look like because they all look ugly because it seems like the settings are set on ultra low for the preview screen.
Im not kidding the graphics for item preview screen (ctrl click)
Star Wars The Old Republic 1080 - Why are your companions half naked? LOLZ
LOLZ no idea what went wrong here but for the whole class quest it was like this. For whatever reason his companions felt like having a half naked party on his ship while he was gone.... Not sure what Jedi Consulars teach there companions but I want no part in it lol. Enjoy the vid
