Hi so this game is totally unplayable for me, EA won't give me a refund since it's a digitally download and already linked to my account so if someone wants to buy the game for 45 bucks just PM me over TL.
If this above post is against TL guidelines please remove it and I'm sorry

This is EA we're talking about. You're not going to get a refund, it's as simple as that. Be more responsible next time and look into specs and performance issues if your computer is as bad as you say it is.

I thought my computer wouldn't be able to handle it at all but I did a little trick which worked like a miracle: set your graphics to maximum, then set them back to minimum.
Other than that I disabled a lot of things on my computer like Windows Search, the Aero interface etc and that bumped up my fps to a steady 25ish now, which is very playable.

it will be my first mmo..don't want it to take over my life ha For those whom like the "WoW formula" of things and are willing to have some patience, it could easily be a 7.5-8/10. Which is basically above average / pretty decent game. For those looking for something else, you will not get anything really new other than the dialogue options. So that's how you should slice it. Do you want what is safe and proven to work? Then you'll enjoy this game most likely. Especially if you love star wars. I feel like it's more of a CORPG (co-op RPG) rather than an MMO (massively multiplayer online RPG). It's a very linear game with a lot of story aspects, a lot can be solo'd easily and even encouraged -- however, many opportunities arise to interact and do shit with people. However, it just doesn't really feel...massive to me. Especially with the small party sizes and whatnot. Now do NOT mistake that for criticism or bashing. I love small party sizes, quite a lot personally if they are done well. I'm just stating more of what it is, as to not cause a misconception. It's an MMO in the same sense that Guild Wars 1 was an MMO, for those whom played that game, in my opinion. Which is just fine and dandy, plenty of people loved that game -- 8 million people to be in fact. (I think GW1 rather meh-tier as well, but I recognize how many could enjoy it and am merely using it as comparison) So it all depends on perspective, I suppose. It seems to be rather black and white for people loving it or hating it.
If this game isn't a MMO and is a CORPG then so is WoW... and basically every single other "MMO" out there.

EDIT: Not even worth it. I can write up an infinite number of posts explaining of how I'm not even criticizing the game, but praising it in my previous posts and you would still try to argue with everything I say PHIL =/ I'm sorry that my massive neutrality offends you, sincerely. I was merely trying to help someone by explaining how this game fits into a very common subcategory of the MMO market. ♥

It's an MMO by all means, but most specifically it's a CORPG. I won't give the massively awesome analogy again because I already gave it twice, so you can read it. Also, you're saying that with such disdain as if it's a negative thing to be a CORPG o_o I mean, are you taking compliments as insults now? =/ Here, I'll even quote myself for you: Show nested quote +Wha...? I'm saying the game feels like a CORPG, a subsect of MMORPG's of MMO's that favor smaller scale things compared to significant and large scale things. Things that favor a lot of solo content and personal story building. It's like the difference between "modern realistic shooters" and "arcade quake-esque" shooters. They're both shooters, both are amazing in their own right, but both share integral differences. Not only that, I am confused why that sentence is relevant at all to what I said (both the patronizing statement and the latter part) or more importantly how what I said could have brought out such a hostile response considering it's not even negative. I genuinely must ask if you have a problem with people talking about the game other than outright utter praise, because I'm not even criticizing or insulting the game. I'm literally just saying "It feels more CORPG than anything", which should be a praise if anything considering the flag runner of the CORPG market has 8 million players. I know it might sound quirky and a bit of an oxymoron, but there are two types of MMORPG's -- MMO's and CO's. Both take an effort to have millions of subscribers and a MASSIVE playerbase, which this one definitely does. However, CO's focus more on small scale things as I said multiple times and story based stuff. MMO's focus more on huge ass raids, giant word bosses that require dozens, if not hundreds of people, and so forth. There is nothing wrong with either side. I'm simply stating my opinion of which the two I enjoy. Now I'm rambling If you're honestly getting mad over a statement like that, I don't know what to say. I think you just don't like me
Lol im not mad at all... i didn't say anything against you in my post, in fact im trying to block your name out of my field of view so i forget that its you who i am responding to.
I still think your statement and your entire paragraph is wildly stupid though. Why would you even bring up stuff like this? Regardless of the fact that I disagree with you, what is the point of you writing this stuff up....

The fact that you think you are neutral shows that you're delusional.

I mean, I literally said this game has exceeded my expectations in my post-release report of the game and that it really has improved in many sections and I may try it out again later and my only real qualm with it is the subscription fee, which I vehemently despise about it. I said that they fixed a lot of shit and that they are going down the right path right now and this can only do better if they keep up. Yet you cling to this fantasy that I hate this game. Like I said delusional. You should take some time to go back and ready your posts in this thread and tell me you are being objective. Hell even read your "post-release" report of the game, and tell me that you don't bring extremely condescending and negative tones towards the game. But whatever keep being delusional and thinking that you're the epitome of neutrality. I'm going to try as hard as I can to just ignore every single one of your posts.
|
Well, disagree with me if you wish. And if it takes you ignoring me to keep this thread clean of this mindless little crusade you have against me and my opinions, then so be it. Ignore me and think I'm stupid until both of our days end. As long as you're having fun, and I'm having fun, who cares right? This game really is moving in the right direction and I really hope it succeeds as I was extremely fucking hyped for it. Maybe in 6 months I can come back to this game and play it with a breath of fresh air and get fucking hooked like I do with a lot of games.
With what I'm seeing with pre-release patches and how it's turning out now and how they are addressing issues, this game has some great fucking potential and I hope they capitalize on it. Although I know some people love it right now and think it's great, which is just fine too. That's the great things about opinions and the internet, the exchanging of ideas and opinions like that. I'm very happy to read well thought out opinions of other people, agreeing or disagreeing with me. Especially the latter as I do love to be proven wrong. I'm also a very outspoken person, so I will continue to post here and elsewhere explaining my positions. You may disagree with me, which is just fine -- but if you have such a vehement dislike for me, then ignore me! Or take it to PM and we can handle it there, whatever works.
Have a great night and a Merry Christmas ♥
