I said that they are hard from the perspective of someone new.
I can do them just fine.
But thanks for calling me a shitty player.
OH SNAP, I SMELL A MONEY MATCH BREWING. Bill vs Trumpet, FT7 for $??? gogo, I got $20 on Bill.
In terms of matchups, I personally think Akuma and Dhalsim are very good against Sagat (as in they are able to dictate the tempo of the match, Akuma being able to either rush Sagat or run away and Sim being able to out zone Sagat). I would go as far as to say they have a slight advantage against Sagat. Viper also forces Sagat to change the way he plays.
I'm gonna be playing in the german championships on saturday. Wish me luck, top 8 will get to stay overnight in an awesome hotel My chances for top 8 are slim, tho.

Missed this post due to sagat drama, yes :D
I have a hard time believing Bill is truly offended after the level of hate he brought down on anotak In case I'm wrong, here's a commentator not even dogface + sanchez could match:
Of course, Bill, our MM will have to be at least $200 to cover the gas money alone of us playing D:
Judging from the pictures, they're getting slowdown (< 60 FPS) at 1280x720 resolution. So just turn down the resolution and the game should run much more smoothly, imo.
Just got back from the german championships. Lost 2 games clearly in the first round and won one close - eliminated. Had a lot of bad luck with my opponents and the system of just 3 games didn't help, but I came there thinking I had no chance anyway. A good friend of mine has won the whole thing tho and will fly to London for the european championships. I'll probably post a few vids if you guys are interested.
It seems very strange to me that a modern computer would lag playing SF4, considering the arcade hardware is the Taito Type X2. Maybe the arcade version actually doesn't run 60 fps too, especially during ultras?

(talking about the benchmark thing) it ran at 60fps on my laptop just fine on the default settings (1280x720) about to check native resolution 1440x900
edit: 60fps with 1440x900 and 16x "texture filtering" (going to assume this is ansitropic?) edit 2: 52 fps with all that and 16x antialiasing... this game is very well optimized it looks like, I don't think I have messed with anything this recent that has run this well, I was a little afraid I was going to have to cut some detail but it looks like i'm going to be running this nearly maxed out
edit:

nah I really just practiced 2 days prior to the event and was a noob before that (getting invited to the tournament was reaaaaally easy). That helped a lot tho as I was playing with the guys that eventually managed to grab 1st and 4th place. Too bad this probably was the one and only huge tournament in germany this year, should have practiced more and I could have kicked some asses.
Figured you guys might want to watch a few videos since XBL is down (fuck MS, why now). Sadly, the sound is heavily out of sync and the camera is shaky. An MTV camera team was there as well, but they haven't released their footage, yet.
