2DF seems to handle lag spikes a little worse than GGPO in my experience. I'm not sure if I can explain exactly how myself though.
I love how taunts actually have effects in 3s though. And Urien's Aegis. In fact, make that projectiles in general, especially projectiles that stay put and still eat up space after you've recovered and moved away. Probably why I play Jedah in VS and turtle too much for my own good, so I can spam those spinny saws. 
Well, I'd say there's some good things about not having extra air mobility in the form of airdash/multiple jumps/homing/etc. and thus committing on every jump. Games with less movement options means greater certainty of where the opponent is going to be in the near future, with respect to current position. Since there's less options for the opponent, there's a greater emphasis on positioning rather than reflexes and baiting. What are the most popular air-happy games other than GG, AH, and--because it's based on an anime lol I guess or not?--MB? I think doujin fighters generally follow this trend? Or is it just most modern 2D fighters?
One subject I don't know much about is SNK fighters. Anybody any good at any of them? While it's true there's no airdash/double jump and thus committing on jumps (generally? I'm thinking KOF, LB, SS, FF, etc. from what I know), the presence of half-jumps (hops), dashes, and rolls (some cases) opens up a different kind of offensive game. It seems to me like half-height jump-ins are the standard, setting up fast deep hits into ground combos, although empty short hops into sweep or throw for mixup is also good.
edit: Oh yeah, an obligatory -_-/lol at that CvS2 match I suppose. Are all the upper-tier characters Capcom in that game? From what I've seen, Sagat, Blanka, Bison, Cammy look really good, but it seems people way way disproportionally choose Capcom characters. Or is it just that most people playing the game are Capcom fans and don't really know wtf a Rugal or Chang is?

Good shit. I like Lilica's setup the most, though, because she gets so much damage out of the whole combo.

haha so maybe it was like giving someone that cvs2 vid as an example of how the game is (ie a bad one).
But it looks like GGXX except 10x worse
edit: apparnelty it's b/c of just the chars being used

lol, it's actually AH2, the game that everyone prefers over AH1.

Bill, did you mention the differences between AH2 and AH1 before? I seem to recall something, but what can you say about the differences between the two in terms of characters, style of play, additional systems, etc.? Is there eventually going to be a pretty complete migration from AH1 to AH2?

2nd game, 1st round: Ruu wake-up EX shoryu no good. Lost the round for that. =/
2nd game, 3rd round: wow, NICE comeback by Ruu! I liked the attempted tatsu cross-up, although Youhei blocked it.
Didn't have many comments for the other games. (Or didn't feel like writing them down. )
