...People with no understanding should not post. He's banned because he's annoying to play against, just like Zeus is, that is it. Those heroes aren't hard to stop, but annoying to play against. It's really as simple as that.
And nobody counter-picks NA.

as for NA, it's a pretty dangerous pick the more inexperienced your team is because less experienced teams tend to be teamfight oriented instead of map control. It's one of the most banned heroes if not THE most banned hero and yet it has a pretty low win ratio from what I see.
I'm not sure how serious you are OBA but I'd suggest other ways to 'counter' NA. For example when the other team picks NA, I usually like to take heroes like puck potm (high survivability: lets your team spread out through the map and push multiple lanes without getting buttraped by NA). Another option is hero that can get necrobook3 up early. Summon necrobook -> push -> useless NA and fast necrobook on the right heroes is strong anyway, with or without NA. I used to pick necro every time I saw NA because necro farms insanely fast + heal <3 but then it turned out necro was imba (banned) WL is also good vs NA, support hero with nice stats, heal, and doesnt get owned hard by manaburn

not only is tree one of the most boring heroes in the game, he always makes the game boring as shit for everyone. All his skills are completely out of sync with each other. +armor + invi + scouting + entangle = ? Maybe because he's one of the older heroes. Look at kunkka for example, synergy -> good hero + fun.
medusa, more useless than ursa. has no clear role. farms, gets items, and tries to be less useless. not to mention no skill synergy.

All Tree has going for it at this point is his high stat gain.
Medusa is useful.....if the other team is staring at you. I've found Force Staff useful on her, namely to initiate a team fight, push one towards you, drop your ulti, start a team fight 
They need to rework Mana Shield and speed up Mystic Snake cause you can almost outrun that shit.

There really isn't a hero that can say, this will be really beneficial for a period of time. This is why I say this item is worthless, it has a narrow timing window where it really shines and then it just becomes pretty crappy for the money invested; if it gave a slight damage increase like +10 or +15 then yes it is pretty solid. But for what it is, increasing block chance/damage and +1 HP regen isn't much (remember Bracers are more useful).

I should say the same about your lack of understanding.
Nerubian is absolutely lethal with the right back up, he's undeniably the best ganker in the game and can usually take down any carry early game himself there by strengthening his own carry. His usefulness dwindless as the game goes beyond being able to burst people down with dagon and stuff. But the advantage even a semi competent person playing that hero can bring your team is ridiculous.
Being able to go invisible and initiate a team fight by taking out the other teams most powerful component by just using his ult>stun>manaburn and not having to farm a blink dagger to do it is a little bit better than 'annoying' it's game breaking and can lead to massive pushes and game enders.
No one directly counters him no, but getting any globals ensures he cant escape invis either which is nice, and he's really squishy etc.
And if you think zeus is a hero that's 'easy to stop' you're retarded. He's the best glass cannon out there and obv has the -FUCKHIMUP ability. So yeah, he's more than just annoying.

and while I pretty much ban NA every game, I honestly don't think he's THAT difficult to deal with. Mana burn is just a super bitch.
My favourite carry to run (that I don't run too often) is probably Slardar.

Lol? So let's see here, every decent Axe picks up Hood because they don't know what they are doing while every time an Axe picks up VG in a game his shit gets pushed in, but that's ok. Glad your definition of jungling means you are taking massive damage every time when realistically an Axe with a stout and a helm jungles just as efficiently.
Yep great investment for 2k+ gold, because you know the regen isn't enough and you are taking lots of damage from the casters in the first place right? Yep. They don't keep buffing VG every version because it was such a great item in the first right? Go look at the other items for that price range and tell me how great of an item it is on any hero. Oh Force Staff is useful in the situation I described, simply cause people face towards the opposing team in a team fight. Guess what VS and Pudge do? Pick off people who are out of position, just like Force Staff.

You're right, Zeus is so fucking hard to gank that you are better off not ganking him at all, yep, it has nothing to do with the fact that Chain Lightning spam is hard to deny against and Bolt/Wrath stomps juke attempts, yep absolutely not, it can't be the fact that his 800 casting range is one of the highest in the game making it hard to go on him. The problem with NA is that with bad players they'll sit there and let themselves get mana burned. It's not hard killing him and containing him, of course once you lose map control, he turns into a monster ganker, but the same can be said of a lot of heroes. Mana Burn loses effectiveness later on, Armor is fucking worthless (hurray melee damage return and shit Armor for a low HP agi that can't tank?), Vendetta is going to get sentried/dusted.
He's so high risk that most teams wouldn't even touch him if it wasn't for his mana burn lane control which surprise surprise you can bottle out of. Like having no mana doesn't prevent them from farming, it does make it hard for them to go offensive on you.
You see it a lot, when a team is going for a tower, if their support/wardbitch is worth anything then you will see a sentry being dropped for that team fight.
