Yeah had a little trouble with that last time and people were being stupid imo. Trying to get into a 225 room by having gold members like Testie leave instead of just joining a room with 195. Everyone kept asking me to spam join the channel and said shit like ' fail ' when I didn't get in the first few times.
k I failed to get into a room of 225 when we can just join a room of 195 that would probably fill up equally as fast? My bad.
Not to mention that most of the time it's around 8-9 TLnet people inhouse so it's not like we even need that many.
Anyway, point of the post is I think it's retarded for people to ask you to spend $2 to get useless gold membership when you're playing pre-arranged inhouses. It's like sweet, you spent $2 so now I have to follow you to play a game with some people who aren't even that good at dota? k.

*blah blah blah* sometimes we do that Ack, if you were around more often you'd know.
|
yeah, whenever I'm playing, I just spam the fuck out of that bitch and I usually get in within 30 seconds or so.
With as many people that are always on though, we could easily switch it down to a low pop channel
|
I agree you guys probably don't do it that often. Sigh, I'll try to play more (--v)
|
yeah, i have to spam every day to get in :{
ANYWAY GET IN ROOM 3 RIGHT NOW OR ELSE?!?

it's fucking annoying how people tell me to calm down when i get mad at noobs
but you know how fucking frustrating it is to be held down for like 10 games straight and never win?
it's seriously an annoying loophole, especially when noobs on the opposing team win
general dota player's mindset: 1 - execute retarded strat x, win game vs worse noobs 2 - strat x must be insta-win?? 3 - apply strat x to all games, don't listen to better players 4 - think they're the shit 5 - go to paper's team one day 5 - indirectly piss off paper and make him die to silly shit after he gives up on life

Well, here's how I see it:
Noobs are noobs. They do noobish shit. Why? Because they're noobs.
Among noobs, there are uber-noobs. These are the ones that don't recognize they're noobs. They don't want to be better. They don't want to learn how to play a real game of dota. They just want to call people names, and blame their teammates or lag for deaths. These ones don't deserve to play.
When you recognize them before the game starts, make them leave (kick), or refuse to play (find another game). That way, you won't have to play a game that you don't want to play.
If they show themselves to be noobs after the game starts, kick their asses (if they're on the other team), or ignore them. Because they sure ain't gonna listen to you. Build up a big enough banlist, and you'll eventually get games without noobs. Sure it's a slow and incomplete solution, but it's the best one I know. It's better (in my opinion) than getting angry at a piece of shit for smelling bad.

Even though I get frustrated time to time from shitty teammates, I've always tried to play with the mindset that regardless of who your teammates are, the game can still serve as practice so I should try anyway. After playing enough games, I've learned to switch playing styles depending on how good my teammates are. I play less conservatively with TL ppl because it tends to be less action-packed than my usual games.
Besides, doesn't everyone here play with TL ppl because it's a group of people you know/are related to rather than it being some kind of IHL? Actually, there are some good games from time to time unlike last summer when the outcome of the game depended entirely on how 2-3 people do.

Who thinks they're the shit in inhouse games? We all pray to the same Heen after all. I've never heard anyone actually act all "I'm better than you, I know better than you" attitude. (Except for me) A lot of people ask questions and theorize with eachother more often. It's a pretty friendly and enjoyable atmosphere in general... and once in a while everyone gets frustrated and it usually blows over.
Lately though I am disconnecting a lot, I don't want to ruin any more games so I'll join after I deal with the problem.

My earlier post was referring to idiot noob pubbies. There are, of course, non-idiot noob pubbies, idiot non-noob pubbies (theoretical possibility; have never observed), noob idiot non-pubbies, etc.
I don't see many TLers who are bm, most seem to be willing to listen, if not necessarily able. And there is the knowledge that they will eventually get more skilled, which will happen faster if you help point out their mistakes and how to avoid them (preferably in a non-confrontational way).

usually i'm fine except today city gave me a headache for several reasons aside from that i'm cool (altho testie might hate me for spoiling parts of portal through the quotes lol)
oh yeah and @testie: fix your igloo internet. there's no minispikes anymore, but just complete disconnects. im not sure if that's a better thing or not o-o;
|
well, i was talking about random pubs that are joining our incomplete IHs lately o__O
not enough full IH lately imo
and playing nub games as practice is just unfulfilling when i go to dota to take time off school-related ish. i don't want to play it like i'm gonna be playing it forever
and games are still determined by 2-3 people
