Yep, HoN/LoL are about as much of an mmo as starcraft or counter strike. There's nothing 'massive' about any of those games.

CHANNEL hon's rage is massive XD but i guess people think of mmo's as being able to play with a bunch of people at once a hundred not just 10 20. but then that would only apply to rpgs, but then why not just use online rpg

Plague has to be the easiest hero for new players in teamfights. You can seriously cast your ult near their team, maybe nuke someone if you want and suddenly you've made a massive impact. Is that all there is to plague? Of course not but just that and people die ;_;
Then theres the free lane control with extinguish...

Just played a ridiculous comeback game vs a push strat on dotalicious.
Pretty pub level play, but CM mode. One captain picks somewhat strange picks (VS/Lina/Stryg/Magnus/AA), the other one picks a 4 push team with 1 middle(enigma/furion/dirge/weaver/kotl). They send it vs our solo AA top, so magnus is left to solo bot. They give up first blood but get 2 in return and a a tower. They go for the next tower, we pretty much give it up. Then they switch to a different lane, and basically every time the kills are evenly exchanged but they get a tower from zombies, trees, elementals.
Scourge go for rosh and 3 of them are caught out by magnus skewer + ult (they didnt ward), giving magnus a pk. Defending the rax was easy from there - it was a series of continual team kills for scourge (with them buying out). They decide to just split push, have 3 of them come out bot, then while my team kills them furion bd's for top rax and gets it.
Basically this happens again until we're down to mid rax. Finally we get every lane pushed out, everyone's fairly farmed, lina has a sceptre, bs has radiance, bfury,butterfly - so 3 of us push mid , get the rax and their team then clears out the rax. We go back to base, our opponents call gg and "i bet you can't defend mega creeps." Well, it turns out that if BS buys a divine rapier and has magmus empower on him, he can do it easily enough to push the waves out. Their team realizes this eventually and decides to all in for our tree - we win several teamfights that are turned around by furion buying out, eventually they're out of buybacks except on a now afk level 12 kotl, and all of them die in an incredibly sloppy 25 second + fight. Everyone's low, our thrones surrounded - lina + bs clear it out fast, the vs + bs rush for throne and start killed it. Furion respawns and gets 3 shot by BS + lina stun. As the Throne dies and the opposing captain says "no way"

yea that game is pretty fun and casual but its still serious and competitive at the same time. thats what i love about it

You would be very surprised. Some people were cool with it and helped me out with items/lane control and such. But an easy 50% of people still called me terrible all game, tried to vote kick me, told me to uninstall and never play again, etc. I think the problem is that all legit 1500 players (including me) are pretty terrible despite having a decent knowledge of the game, and don't know HOW to help a newbie most of the time.
I remember my first game...i played elec, since I am an electrician in real life. yeah. Not a good hero to start with. I think I was something like 0/8/1, and was about 8 levels behind everyone else by the end of the game, and it was obvious I was the only reason we lost the game.

At a minimum, as a knowledgeable TL member, you should at least read some about last hitting, denying, phases of game, hero roles, and then read quick guides about the heroes you want to play lol

Talk to me about Aluna. How's she supposed to be played? Crap as a support, joke of a stun for a ganker and relatively under-powered as a carry.

She's not under powered as a carry if you do a red chain stun that's a shit ton of as you have stack that with hellflower you got great dmg on her, she has good mobility and her powerthrow can snipe from afar and do good magic dmg, you just always need an sh on her else you'll just get comboed down similar to how dr repulsor plays.

aluna's prolly best played as a support right now, either pseudosupport like solo plague with a quick tablet/astro or hard support. she's pretty strong in lane and has a really long stun

Why oh why games always end before I can get all the uber items I want? Wanted to troll people with TB by getting shards, staff and refresher but only got to shards lvl 2...
Edit: Nevermind, just checked it and it seems that 29 creep kills at level 14 might be why I didn't have as much cash as I wanted to (still 270gpm).

that joke of a stun is enough to help your team mates gank and lineup people to eat your baton so I wouldnt say its bad

It's a great stun it has a great range with the bounce and a respectable stun time at the end you just need to count creeps and hope for a good bounce if there are too many, if you just clicking on the hero you want to stun you're not using it to it's full potential.
