I go for phase -> blink -> sheep then after that i picked whatever i want. I went a lulzy whirl stick + void talisman so i couldn't die, but the game ended before i really used them as the other team turtled like hell. If i went mid witch like i did in dota, I would go phase bottle aghs blink sheep then a damage item at the end, either mkb/skadi/deso/harkons. Most of witch slayer carrying is that you get ahead in levels and then you kill people, over and over and over again. It's one of the more satisfying ways to carry =D.

So basically your premise is completely nullify them for 10 straight seconds while auto-attacking them to death? I've been more of trying for the pure dps route, maybe that's why I'm failing.

You can go dps items, but if you make bad decisions you will fail with them because you have less items that can get you out of trouble. THIS! utility is the greatest muhaha and it makes playing so much more fun. especially on a hero like witch who already has all active-use spells, adding some more on top through items makes him so fun to play

Most utility items do come with small damage boosts as well through stats or even pure + damage. Sheepstick, for instance would add a decent amount of dps to witch, because of the the +35 INT. Going to try this tonight.

Going to try this tonight. the small stats boosts from utility items are nice but obviously shouldn't be the focus. Just the fact that certain relatively cheap items can make big plays is why they are useful. I can think of 109238019283 uses for tablet, both defensively and offensively, and you can make HUGE plays with the item given the right hero and circumstance

Haha, I have no idea how we got this with such bad items. Their elec, damp and ra were pretty stacked. I had puzzlebox in stash too but didn't get a chance to pick it up. Loved it how ra was surprised his ult didn't go off when I was around to use my E skill on him.

Also, random question upon looking through some items. What is the problem with sacrificial stone? I would think a carry could really use something like that, especially as it has decent +hp/mana and regen properties as well as the gold/ - respawn time bonuses. It's expensive, it needs to be picked up early for the charges to stack up, there are better options. It used to be good on Defiler as it helped her get tanky but its kind of gone out of style now along with defiler herself. It's viable on tort but it's not as good as a tablet or a sheep.

the buildup is kinda nice, but it's wayy too expensive for what it offers, the mana regen is mostly wasted, and one or two deaths sets you back so much. plus null stone is better in pretty much every aspect the only hero who might be able to get some use out of it is dre, but even that's a long shot

i don't think it's quite as effective as getting real items, and it definitely tapers off a lot once you start running out of inventory slots, but it works alright there's the obvious synergy for fa, rampage, and tremble, since they all have 6 feet, and there's also the super secret 6 steamboots myrmidon build + Show Spoiler + it makes u secretly morphling
