Sometimes I try it when I get really fast farm but when playing Storm you need to have a disables or something to shake off disables as your first main item and Orchid is too soft. Sometimes you'll face a lineup (ie in pubs) that skimps out on disables where it's more viable but overall it's no more than an ok item for Storm. Hell sometimes when I get overfarmed early in pubs I get a Radiance looool to abuse the farm since I'm a rice farmer in my DotA heart. Slightly different in HoN however where I believe Hellflower is more viable. | ||

Stick is super situational, in most pubs its not worth delaying other items over. Only get linkens if you're against a lineup that can (and knows how to) punish you without one (wr, doom, lion, rhasta, bane, etc). Why get a clarity? The only point where clarity is good is at the 6th-10th min mark'ish if you've missed out on a rune. Orchid is owned by BKB and isn't quite as universal as guinsoo, but if you have a great start it can be a really fun item to get fast and just solo stomp anyone in sight. Start with +6/3/3 courier build or +8/2/2 if team courier, don't complete the nulls unless you get ganked/have a shitty start or if you're stalling midgame trying to save up for ult orb/mystic and feel you can't do enough with what you have. | ||

People say if you get a runed you can farm faster, as true as I'm sure that might be you're sacrificing 15+ minutes of farm for it. (atleast in pubs EP seems like a good farming item choice on chronos ;/ ) | ||

One or two mistakes/deaths and you're so far behind in items that unless your team is good the game is lost. EP/MoM is rather imbalanced im terms of risk/reward overall, its only really "viable" on chronos/void due to the ulti. Lifesteal is only good for farming when you have shitty lanes/poor map control during midgame forcing you to do half or more of your farming in the jungle. And even then, combining evade with fairly decent damage and the regen of runed/bfury-components is usually sufficient for the task. The core of playing a "carry" hero is to keep elevating the power of your hero relative to the other heroes throughout the game. EP/MoM and such fragile builds offer a somewhat relatively insignificant boost in power for midgame compared to the risk. | ||

Morph/Lancer/SF/Spectre/etc. all hit those timings better than Void does and doesn't sack too much in a tri-lane; that being said, the only team that I have seen Void used was M5 and using him as an Aghs semi-carry than a true hard carry, aka only pushing that farm in the tri-lane for the Scepter for midgame timing shennigans. Plus with the recent changes to Seer, the Scepter changes specifically, now there's even less reason to use Void. | ||
