"people" as in one person? The rest is irony posting.

I think people are forgetting why devs fund esports in the first place. It's not just a for fun thing you do out of good will, it's primary purpose is to advertise and market your game.

Not for EWC because there are other things that matter, eg whether it can draw viewers for their sponsors and worth spending extra to set up their pages and organising the whole thing.

Excellent ideas. If they can get every single active player to pitch in $20 for a war chest, they can easily fund an extra afternoon of development.

He's saying don't worry about esports because frost giant can't afford development, correct? What I am saying is esports is a marketing strategy that pays for itself that will get more people to play the game. More people playing the game means they don't have to shut down. If I am understanding the point wrong please clarify.

No you are missing the point.
You say pays for itself via players funding. What he is actually saying is that the <100 less people that play the game with 20 bucks a piece for warchest gives no real prize money to speak of.

No one is going to care about a tournament with a tiny prize pool, cause there is only a very tiny audience willing to buy a war chest for a dead game.
And that is before we get into how unappealing the game is to watch.

FYI there is no eSport that is profitable. Not even League of Legends.
So if they want to make money, they should ignore eSports completely. It's just burning money, as fans never buy enough stuff to even cover the costs.

These comments don't even make sense. M4TAPhyS1cs you're a moron... Waste of brain cells spending all your time trying to force people into your propaganda. Frost Giant literally just hired more people. So if you're broke, you go hiring as the logic? No matter how much you spam your propaganda hoping that it can cause a company to fail it won't work for the most part. But at least your name matches your belief system. Spam something over and over trying to talk over everyone else until you manifest it as truth right? That's what you've learned from Metaphysics.

Aside, since there's still people asking about my gears in other places, I'll put them here as well.

Are they just supposed to pocket the money...? why wouldnt they keep developing with what they got?
