I know there will be tier 3 units starting to be released in early access. For vanguard we have that ghost unit, for infernal they will probably just use a re-imagined dragon, for celestials who knows.

Should be pretty fun when the game launches. Very curious to see what they've done recently. I'm surprising myself by how many other tasks I'm accomplishing over the month while I wait.

I can't see them changing the dragon. If it were to function as a regular T3 unit and be produced from a building, it would need some serious serious nerfs. It's currently a top bar ability with a 5 minute cooldown

I would guess Infernal get the big demon from the cinematic trailer, and Vanguard also get the Carrier looking unit. Celestial could get anything

It was said by one of the devs on discord that dragon is supposed to be a higher tier unit, so they will probably move the topbar ability to t3 at least but I don't think there would be more changes.

Yep, they teased that idea in the discord. I think celestials need a tier 3 unit to be complete but I haven't even heard rumors. I hope they get something.

I wouldn't be against Dragon being reworked into a standard T3 unit (similar to frost wyrm or battle cruiser), but it would be a bit cheap to keep it the same but now with T3 as a requirement.

As for Celestials they already have pretty strong spellcasters, so their T3 units are probably something more brute-force like a siege engine or ultralisk

In the creater assets we were given around the Celestial reveal this year, they were just referred to as "archangels." In previous packs we've gotten, Co-Op heroes have had names attached (Amara, Maloc, etc). I don't know if the archangels are going to be T3 or not, but I think it's pretty likely they're units and not heroes (or commander-specific units like the Mortardons Maloc has)

If it's a unit then I'm going to guess it's role in the army just for fun. Judging by the fact we see it swing it's hammer it is probably melee or low range. It's hammer might be an ability that damages and slows in an AOE, though that is kind of redundant with that one caster who has psistorm, perhaps they synergize in a way? Like you put these guys up front, they slow an area to enable engaging/landing your abilities easier? Iunno. Either that or he like raises his hammer and it gives your army some type of buff. Maybe rapid energy regeneration?

The celestials did have other energy regeneration mechanics (upgrade on argents, top bar ability, energy batteries, animancer suck, etc). On the one hand, it would be super on brand, but I think it might be a little too much of the same for that? I'd definitely believe some tanky engage unit to force a fight, though

The reveal trailer had some units floating around the Cel army that looked like angels with spears/hammers as well.

Having melee units for T3 is a much better direction than deathbally giga air units, if that's the case.

I'm guessing an angel type of unit with behavior similiar to Archons. Big health pool, Aoe cleave attack, mabye a charge/ jump to close distances

I'm assuming that since this is the big EA release they'll keep things close to the chest until the last minute. Maybe tease announce some new units on big creator's socials like they did for the graven etc?

How many new units are u expecting? I've been getting a bit worried we wouldn't get any more since they kind of stopped after the graven.

Given that campaign chapters are coming out, I'd expect quite a few new units in the game in general.

As for specifically 1v1, probably 1 new Infernal and 1 new Celestial (a T3 of each)

Probably 2 for vanguard (Graven plus maybe that big flying ship we saw in a trailer midyear), maybe one for celestials, and I haven't seen any official stuff for infernals - so I doubt anything at the start?

Celestials had two units shown on the trailer that weten't in the last beta. Archangel and Seraphim (the other flying angel). I would be surprised if infernals don't get at least one new unit as well.
