Imma play somewhere in EU. Not sure where yet, since I'm not part of any guild and probably just get on a server with low population to avoid queues EDIT: Forgot to answer your questions ^^' I played the beta last year on one of the original release dates. Mission design was poor and some say it still is. But that's not was the game was supposed to be about. It's about the combat, the crafting and world exploring. There are numerous reviews already out on YT and twitch. Character development is classless. You are what you wear and can develop every weapon by using it a bit like TESO. Which is also the most comparable game IMO

A lot of them nowadays have cool combat but the difficulty curve is so low that the only time you need it is when you start pulling 3+ packs at the same time. Which often isn't possible because of player density. That was a problem I had with TESO too, at least somewhat early on.

I have only low level experience so I can't really answer in detail. PvP is obviously challening, PvE in the lower levels is rather easy and more about clearing speed. Killing mobs without getting hit by dodging etc. is nice gives you practice for later but you can also just spamclick most mobs in the early game Didn't get farther than that yet ^^

Sounds like the average MMO difficulty curve, basically rush through the game and go raiding if you want a challenge. Tbh I never got why you introduce multiplayer aspects if most of the content doesn't require playing in multiplayer. But I guess I'm not a social gamer.

Tbh I never got why you introduce multiplayer aspects if most of the content doesn't require playing in multiplayer. But I guess I'm not a social gamer. I would guess that MMOs are so expensive to make that they try to rope in multiple demographics. The PvP players for hardcore solo/small party players. Raids and general PvE end game for hard core social people. Then decent things to do solo such as fishing or crafting (plus combat) for the people that enjoy the game but are not really into the grind, much of which can be done in small groups or solo. Thus you cover as wide a demographic as you can for your money making methods. Some groups probably pay more but I assume all of them pay off since they make content for them. To be honest, the solo players would probably enjoy single player games more but there are some decent MMOs to play solo while finding people to be social with in chat/guilds. SWTOR is kind of famous for being recommended to people that want to play solo in an MMO.

Not seeing many opinions in this thread, I guess the TL MMO crowd has mostly left the site? Not seen the WoW thread bumped in ages either. Anyway, what do you guys think of it? Pros and cons? A decent endgame that can keep you playing or is it more about the levelling experience?

Combat gets increasingly difficult too. I am trying to do a mage build with fire staff and ice gauntlet which ins't the most forgiving and durable build ^^'

SWTOR is kind of famous for being recommended to people that want to play solo in an MMO. Yeah that seems reasonable. I just don't really get why they don't split the raid part with the open world part when they clearly address different people. Like I don't really want to play brain-afk for 40+ hours before I get to the part where the gameplay becomes interesting and looking for an active guild that does high level content can be a bother according to my experience. Tried TOR a bunch of times but the fighting system was pretty flat and the only way to introduce challenge is basically trying the multi-man dungeons solo. I enjoyed the storytelling, even if the story at times didn't really make sense. I played quite a bit blade and soul until the grind became increasingly obnoxious and some skyforge, which I still like a lot, but kinda reached the point where my char was maxed out.

https://forums.newworld.com/t/server-transfer-update/354335/2?u=commander_aze Hi everyone, We have the final pieces of the server transfer system tested and ready to go, but we are making a difficult decision to hold it until next week. This was a balance call between honoring a date we told you to expect, versus the disruption of a deployment during a peak play period (the weekend). We’ve worked on this feature non-stop every day to make good on our date estimations, but releasing it now would mean downtime, server balance changing based on transfers, Wars that might not go through due to different rosters, and the like. You can expect several communications coming from our team in the near future, including more specific details around how we are rolling out the transfer feature and a deep dive into the lessons we learned these past couple weeks. I sincerely want to thank you for sticking by us through the ups and downtimes. Thank you, Kay

Haven't really had time to play much and since I'm pretty casual these days I don't have the need to "max level in 3 days" or be mentioned on some leaderbords. I'm gonna play a bunch around the chrismas holidays and see where the game is then and maybe there is a roadmap for future content up by then

Thought people might find this interesting. I'd really like to know what could be some practical applications for this.
