Wanted to give this a try and it said server maintenance without any visual indication of this in the launcher. And there is no exit button in the in game login screen.... lol EDIT: ahh it's behind the wall of text and updated to servers offline just know... | ||

Try now it should be working! There was a patch to improve the assault rifle a bit which needed some better accuracy | ||

It is kinda fun with everything destrucible/ buildable and stuff which offers you a lot of options. But I don't get anywhere near the thrill that I get in PUBG. In PUBG I rage at my own supidity with every death but in Fortnite I'm just "nah" Can't really explain it. Anyone else feeling that way? EDIT: Can't find a motherloving sniper!! Argh | ||

The cross play function between PC and mobile is apparently real by giving the mobile user the option to opt-into the bigger matchmaking pool, probably won't be used much unless you are deliberately looking to handicap yourself. | ||

There's something to be said about free cross platform games. It's really cool to be able to play with a close friend who you normally wouldn't be able to play thanks to it being free and cross platform. Pubg is cross platform too I believe but it cost money, so it's a lot easier to get your friends to play. I've never played pubg, I know it's more real, bigger map and has vehicles but from what I've heard it's full of bugs and bad optimization. Fortnite is developed by the same guys that work on the engine, it's going to be as optimized as it can be. Every single week there seems to be a new update. Even though I've never played Pubg, I have zero doubts it is the better game, even if some people find pubg gameplay to be more fun. That's just my take on it. | ||

What kind of morons are playing this??? 2nd place finish in my first game and 1st place in my second game. I'm not claiming to be good but wtf surely it gets harder as you play more games right? Or is it all just casual gamers without a clue? Cos I ain't down for multiplayer that isn't challenging. | ||

I like the concept but it lacks depth imo and just gets boring real quick. I remember this kind of idea from playing DayZ when it was an ARMA mod. That shit was real. Back to Insurgency now I think. Its the most underrated tactical shooter of all time. | ||

Yes in the first 5-10 matches there seems to be a shitload of bots to get you hooked. Also Fortnite has crossplay across all plattforms no matter what input device you are using. Chances are you are playing with some dudes on their iPhones. | ||

The whole box fighting fest is really not very interesting and the game has become very abstract imo. I still like it, but it has no potential of being a great esport. | ||
