I do think the camera should be tweaked so that it's not so exploitable that they must make a FPS mode... I enjoy 3rd person views better generally, but it's a definite HUGE advantage in this game, and completely changes the style/meta of how the game plays out. I also think 3rd person is going to cause more and more of an issue as time goes on, making the game much less intuitive/new player friendly, in a game that is already pretty unforgiving in that sense.

1) Evermore Healing to Victory I liked the strategic play but imo this is not in the "spirit of the game". I think a simple fix without drastically changing gameplay would be to add another circle which does double-damage. This circle starts 1 circle behind the blue circle. This forces players avoid being 2-circles behind. 2) Pool Party in Duo Game 2 I think a simple fix for this will occur when the Devs implement bullet physics in water. I think players should be able to get hit if they are near the surface. 3) Multiple Observers There was a suggestion in this thread that multiple obs will be good for the game. They can then switch between views quickly. Like this suggestion. 4) Commentators Personal preference but I didn't really like Lauren Scott's casting style of being overly critical of the players. It's a shame because I think the commentators did have good knowledge of the game.

But Liquid and Korean players changed Nvidia setting, you can see some of their screens are different with others. So 100 players are too hard for referee to check everyone's setting. Where did you learn that using Reshade and/or changing Nvidia CP settings is prohibited in ESL tournaments? It's completely OK if you play the game normally.

Yeah, I think they are working on a new system making it higher up which will include First person plane jumps and parachute too, now that will be scary.

IMO, they should keep their current game mode as "casual" (it's a lot of fun as it is) and introduce a new "competitive" mode (ideally involving a smaller map with fewer players but I don't fault them for using the map they've worked hard on) and adjust: :: Regionalize specific loot types more so that each city is known for a specific loot type (which changes per match) and greatly reduce randomness and quality of loot in barren areas. So for instance, Pochinki has predominantly guns and not much else, while Mylta or something has majority healing items. Have multiple zones with similar categories so it's not heavily favored to always go to a single gun zone. Categories could be: guns, healing, attachments, armor, etc. :: Remove or drastically reduce ARs/SMGs/Shotguns/etc. from loot table except at designated areas above to allow them to drop from loot crates (in higher quantities, not 1 gun per crate) and increase crate frequency (which decreases as the game progresses, and/or become more like the current crates with the 'highest' tier weapons) :: Add a planning period during match-start where players will be able to view flight path and rough location of loot :: As a general thing, make circle damage scale with how long you're out of it as well as how small it is The idea is to basically greatly reduce looting RNG and give players a more objective way to find items. If they want better guns than pistols/melee/etc. they must risk dropping a gun zone or fighting for crates. This should allow for a better gear evolution of the game over time, make melee/pistol viable early, and make players think more about the state of the game and where they need to go. Their current mode is pretty fun but there's a lot of downtime during traveling and looting, and the randomness is something the players have talked about. Circle RNG is something else that might need to be addressed. What do you guys think? Still fleshing out the idea.

looting rng is annoying but in an 80 person free for all your expected chance to win is <2% anwyay so it's just not important. Thing is, the game is TERRIBLY AWFUL for anything remotely approaching serious competition in the variety they are putting on here. Much better would be a more season-based invite-only ladder with say 200 players competing on a rotating basis. Not only would that solve the tournament-centric issue of esports where many esports can't measure up to regular television's predictable broadcasts, but also it would greatly alleviate the issue of rng where somebody can just drop next to you and get luckier with guns.

In competitive matches especially duos/squads, there is usually no-one except teammates landing next to each other so the situation of landing and not having a gun doesn't really happen. Why is the game TERRIBLY AWFUL for competition? I think the games have shown consistently the same players at the top end, Hayz was nearly top 10 every game, the cloud 9 guys were always up there, the people who had to prove themselves by qualifying continued to win in the main event as well so I don't think the game showed it self to be bad for competition. I think the points system could use some work and third person needs to be binned and water needs changing but I think its been pretty good so far.
