If you're looking for the closest thing to it, it's basically an Nvidia shield with detachable controller parts, Nintendo first-class support, and a docking station. | ||

Any modern controller has basically 2 analog clickable sticks, 1 d-pad, 4 buttons, some variation of Start/Select, and 4 triggers. 2 triggers on each side, sticks paired with the d-pad on the left side, with the buttons on the right side, at a roughly 45° alignment, other buttons in the middle. That's my "standard" controller. Surprise, your dear Gamecube controller also fits that bill. Not my fault you're not capable of generalizing as much as me :D. What wouldn't have been standard (for me) is something like the Steam controller. Now, I'm arguing that you have to wait for the feel in your hand to decide whether it's a good controller or not. It's not just a question of layout. And if you can't cope with the sticks being switched with d-pad/buttons, then indeed we have different "standards". I simply don't think that this "transportable" concept is a good one and this video really focused a lot on that. But as i said, the games are the important part, if the console has enough power maybe third party support will be good. | ||
