I don't know about you guys but I find survival mode kind of lame and non-fun. Part of the reason we play games is not to deal with constant chores like eating, drinking etc. Making it part of a game technically increases the challenge, but not by much; the tediousness on the other hand makes it really unenjoyable to play. All you really need to do is take the game more slowly, ensure that you enlist the aid and protect many settlements along the way, and ensure that you always have a supply of (clean) food and drink available; either that or just get the lead belly perk. Its not difficult to do but it is annoying.
And forcing the player to walk everywhere similarly doesn't add any meaningful challenge to the game, its just a pain and means that the game becomes even more tedious. Really if you're careful enough there isn't anything that can kill you just by wandering unless you stumble into a deathclaw nest or some legendary minions. But those are easily avoided if you just watch where you're going.
I would normally not mind playing this if there was some fundamental new change to the combat or the AI.But it doesn't seem to be all that different from the previous hardest difficulty setting; if anything it would be easier thanks to adrenaline. I guess this is appealing to the select few who like to pretend the game is reality though, like Gopher on youtube.

Disagree entirely. I can't see myself playing the game on anything other than Survival ever again. The changed damage system makes firefights seem more tense since each hit you take and every time you take a shot counts much more. Being flanked or ambushed by a guy with a shotgun is terrifying and means you really have to be careful and aware of your surroundings, and that alone is worth it to me.
The saving restrictions and no fast travel were things I initially balked at, but I love them now. Combined with how easy it is to die, the greater amount of progress you'll lose if you die makes it very tense and rewards careful approaches to combat, leading to more realistic behavior (those BoS soldiers are pinned down by ghouls? Guards fighting super mutants? Sorry, not my problem, I can't afford to play hero!). But beds are common enough in the wild that you never really have a huge problem and it doesn't become annoying. In fact, I like how it has become necessary to plan your route around places you know there are beds and sometimes make a choice whether you should take a risk and attack an enemy location in the hopes that there will be a bed inside.
The frequency with which you get diseases is a little annoying, though. Especially since you can get one just for sleeping in a bed, which is the only way to save. That seems dumb. If full beds (i.e., not sleeping bags or mattresses) you constructed in settlements or owned in some place like Diamond City or Vault 81 didn't have that chance it would be much better.
I've played survival in the past but i enjoy casual way more. Tbh for fo3 i just played survival for that sense of accomplishment. So im not going to bother for fo4
Bethesda debuted its Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4 last week, and some players have experienced serious performance issues.
The developer is assuring players it's "actively working" on more improvements. Bethesda reportedly "made optimizations" based on Far Harbor beta feedback, though some are still experiencing issues. Bethesda has not commented on which issues it's working to fix.
Players on the Fallout 4 sub-reddit suggest that Far Harbor's dense fog is the culprit for the game's frame rate problems. In IGN's Far Harbor review, we found the fog more annoying than threatening.
Fallout 4's Far Harbor DLC is the largest landmass Bethesda has ever added to a game. It takes players to the coast of Maine, where high levels of radiation created a rugged and aggressive habitat. Along with the DLC's main storyline, Far Harbor added new faction quests, settlements, creatures, and dungeons.

Hey guys ,does anyone suffer from motion sickness? this is my first Fallout 4 game and I really want to play it, but I just started moving around in the house (after making your character) and either I'm moving too fast or my FOV is awful - but I get really sick playing.
I tried my FOV at 90, 100 and now 110/120 in third and first-person view.

Yeah, that too!
I might take a video just to show it. But I was in the kitchen and if I swiveled the camera too fast, there is a momentary screen tear or blur to the counter-tops and furniture that just made me feel really light-headed

Got it!
I already did most of it, but I didn't adjust Brightness or Godrays, so I might take a look!
Fallout 4 update 1.5.4, which is already live on PC, is set to hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week. The update features enhancements and bug fixes for mods, and comes with “important fixes related to weapon and armor racks for Contraptions.” PS4 players who are partaking in the closed beta for mods will need to download this update first.
What is happening is that there is a jagged flickering or something that really hurts my eyes. It's especially apparent on the leaves in the trees and lighting that just makes me so dizzy and exhausted.
Lastly, there is an inconsistent fade in tree coming in at 0:30, but that's a minor issue.
