I'm upgrading Sanctuary for the hell of it, but I'm not sure if I wanto to invest 4 levels into Bartering and Spokesperson. Not to mention the inital cap cost of these stores themselves. Does it really produce caps and will I be able to buy guns/armor there myself? Also, how do you attract more people? I have 11 currently at Sanctuary. In sanctuary I have the first level of 5 diff shops. Their inventories are actually decent, each time i got back to town the weapons shop has 20-30 of the ammo I need (usually get shotgun shells), and has a varied amount of the others. Laser ammo is small but it might go up if I got higher level shop, but I'm not sure. Medical shop I love for curing myself.
They probably arent worth it if you are just looking to make caps though, but I am into the settlement building and the shops increase happiness so I just went with it.

Pretty annoyed. Second time today the game just crashed and exited out on me. Hadn't had that before. And now my sanctuary hills settlement has a bug that whenever I leave it it thinks it has 0 beds, so happiness is just going down and no way to stop it cause of the bug. Pretty dumb.
Still so many bugs~

Just started playing, this might seem like a silly question but is there any way to strip mods out of a gun you find? The only way I see how to do it is to replace the mod you want with a standard one but this seems pretty... counter-intuitive

Anyone else get stuck on terminals? Happens to me quite often, must be the frame cap issue but I typically get below 85 so it shouldn't affect me.

I don't get that one, no. I do get some other little bugs, like ammo showing as 0 when getting into power armor, so I imagine that's just another little hiccup that needs to be ironed out.
Weirdest one for me is when I alt-tabbed out and back in and the resolution became all stretched out. Tabbing out and in again fixed it, though.

Its me or if, for example, you do harvest some stuff and then quickload the things you harvest arent there anymore ?
It happenes with mines, etc...

The bug with the mines happens to me everytime

My weapon disappears from time to time. F5->F9 fixes it.
Still haven't really figured out how that trading stuff works, basically when stuff gets generated. Fast travel, waiting, sleeping - sometimes it generates, sometimes it doesn't (water, bottlecaps).
Weird.

I don't think it's a bug honestly. I think it's there to prevent you from farming the mines that blew you up last time. More like a punish mechanic.
I dunno what to do, I'm lv 25 and don't want to go south too much because at one of the south military bases when you reach lv 28 Enclave-like X0-1 Power Armor starts to spawn and I wants it :3

few questions: is there a way to hotkey unarmed? sometimes i just want to give someone a corrective throat punch and using knuckles to that end is a bit overkill.
is it possible to park all your potential companions at the same place? would be convenient if you could resort to one place for your power armor and companions..

yes, you can make any settlement your main one. just make sure you have enough beds to accommodate them. you can "Move" them between settlements. I have mine all at Sanctuary

Press Alt quickly and your guy will do a melee attack with whatever weapon you got holding.

The best thing about this game is the return to Power armor / BoS & its enemies / Super mutants.
New vegas' setting sucked ASS, there was nothing unique about the NCR / Raiders / Legion / Random dude XYZ to differentiate them, it just felt like you were running around killing random thugs constantly, you were always up against people. The story was literally "uh...vegas!"

If you don't have a grenade equipped as secondary(!) - you can hold alt for a melee attack.
And yes, you can send your companions to all settlements.

I mean Fallout 4 its such a step up from FO3 but NV its still the best of the 3D fallout games

9 Charisma and I can't fit more than 19 settlers in Sanctuary, that's a bummer. Anyone know how to increase the settler cap limit?
edit: Apparently its 10+1 based on your charisma so I guess the max I can get is 21 settlers

New Vegas is the best "traditional" RPG. If we're talking about which one plays the best (gameplay mechanics wise), Fallout 4 absolutely crushes it.

The new weapon modding and crafting and collecting all that useless junk for a purpose is great. As a RPG it is not even close. Fo4 is retarded in its RPG parts.
