I don't know how it would work- you would need to make some areas- "safe zones" etc for missions. But maybe the open world itself PvP? Would need a lot of work to make it playable I agree.

Sounds reasonable to me to start getting power armor stuff around level 15-20. actually now that I say that I'm not even sure what the level cap is. But anyway even if you get power armor cores early doesn't mean you have to use them.

As someone who hasn't had the time to play yet, I can't quite tell if the game properly allows for a power armorless playthrough. Challenging. But entirely possible if you have the patience - you will need to F9 quite alot, since a single grenade on higher difficulties will reck you. And i'm talking, splash, not even a full hit. I for example do. And about the "can't find fusion cores", one of the cornerstones of Fallout is walking around and "checking" stuff.. I arrived in sanctuary with 3 powercores. The one that was in the suit plus two more. I'd actually say it's entirely possible to not leave the powersuit in a whole playthrough. edit: and lol, yeah.. Squishy marksman fits my playstyle. Sprinkled with charisma, to be able to build trading posts in my settlements (luck = 1, so i don't find many bottlecaps - traders help with that). It's entirely possible to play through the game like that - the only thing you can't do is max out Paladin Danse's affection, because he gets hard ons everytime you get in your power armor/paint it. But he's boring anyway. Sounds reasonable to me to start getting power armor stuff around level 15-20. actually now that I say that I'm not even sure what the level cap is. I reached 20 with around 30 cores, could've pretty much easily played from 10 to 20 just in power armor and then some. There is, afaik, no level cap either.

The one thing that annoys me though are these fucking giant mosquitoes, they're worse than the damn Cazadores! (ok not really but they're pretty bad) There's worse flying stuff to come ![]() edit: think mosquitoes, but alot faster, and stinging. Forgot the name now, but every time i hear them now i panic.

When do you guys use your VATs? I literally fight without VATs 95% of the time. Only time I turned them on was vs flying things like bloatflies and mosquitoes. I know PERCEPTION affects hit chance in VATs and you need some levels for perks, but I was thinking about maybe making a character with a lot of charisma and luck. For my first playthrough I made a pretty balanced char with 4STR 6PER 4END 4CHR 5INT 5AGI 1LK

btw, my performance problems come solely from lights, the more lights in view, the lower the fps by a large margin. And my card isnt used more, the fps just goes down, it still has around 20% more in it. Acutally, the usage is higher at 60 fps than when it goes lower, indicating some kinds of block in the code.

There's a mod on reddit somewhere, which lets you fine-tune the settings. Should be on nexus as well, i guess. Only read it in the news on 4players.

This is a company using an engine they first used on morrowind I believe, 13 years of getting away with a trash engine has made them realise they can get away with everything.

It feels so terrible and companies don't want to make a second UI for the PC. That and it seems to hold back the graphics too. Want more straight PC games but that isn't ever happening with this climate.
