So apparently if you're sieging a city and that city confederates with another faction, you lose all your siege equipment. Thanks!

Yea, that's pretty annoying. I've lost quite a bunch of AFK-rounds due to filthy enemies confederating the round before attrition.

Just bring siege weapons (cannons and such) if you can and I think you then don't have to build the equipment (I also think that you can then attack the city immediately without the need for siege but I'm not sure).
Time is precious. Waste it wisely.

Yeah, I always have at least one siege weapon embedded in my army, so I basically never lay siege to cities. Most of the time there's nothing there but the garrison anyway, so I just auto-resolve the battle and move on.

Was playing as Vampire Counts so...no siege weapons. Pretty sure you can't just attack without it, as it wasn't giving me the option.

Don't remember. After beating Empire campaign and starting a bunch of other I pretty much play MP exclusively in TWH.

I see, a polish masochist
I find the MP not very fun at all while playing matchmaking. Atthe beginning I had some fun building countercheese armies, but overall the lord sniping is a bit tedious. Playing it with friends is super fun though.

No, I do usually have two Vargheist units in my armies, but it still won't let you attack. Are Terrorgheists really worth it?

Depends on who you are fighting. Terrorgeister are pretty much like flying lords, they have good aoe, can manfight most single non-giant non-lord stacks and are pretty nice if you want to minimize losses vs archers. They are good if they can just charge in and out repetitively. They are really bad vs high damage units that can disrupt their start up movement.

I think having 1 or 2 in the army is pretty good. Unless you are fighting trash only I'm not sure if more is better.

I don't think that they let you skip sieges.

They definitely beat Vargeister in every way imaginable though.

Sieges in general are really stupid and really could use a rework. It doesn't make any sense to wait for siege equipment in the first place if it's so bad that you pretty much never use it since everyone can just climb up walls or attack the gate without moving at 50% speed.
Also it takes so long that I've done it like three times in roughly three campaigns.

Just build a ram in one turn and then autoresolve it? If its not in your favour and you need the equipment anyway because climbing the wall is harsh.

I find them really good. They wreck most things (they can even tackle steam tanks) and cause terror. It's also nice that you can get them out relatively early (T3) and in the campaign Templehof has a special building that lets you get them at vet 3 instantly.

Ugh, just got into Turn 90 of my VC campaign and the bloody Skaeling/Shitty Chaos armies are sooo annoyng in the wide open space of the Empire. I'm getting ready to quit I think. Vamps are fun but get a little one dimensional.

It is funny how stupid ridiculous the Vampire Lords are, though, My level 2 Lord with nothing but Hunger and Nehek outdueled a level 16 barbarian lord even with half his army helping.

Started VC campaign as well. Manfred is such a bundle of joy. Teching is a bit annoying though so I think I will get the lvl 4 settlements mod. Seems like a small change with big impact. You guys have any other mods to recommend?

Radious mod seems to be really good. It greatly augments the number of available units and overhauls the macro game. I'm doing an Empire campaign with it right now. My only concern is that this particular campaign has been comparatively easy due to how things have played out. The Varg killed off the Skaeling early, which allowed the North to remain largely intact. When Chaos arrived, I quickly confederated everyone and hold nearly everything needed to win once I beat off Chaos.

I think the biggest issue with the game is that lords and agents of a variety of types are too strong. I'd like to see everything nerf'd across the board.

Early in my VH Vampire counts campaign I had Manfred and Varghulf and 2 skeleton units beat a full stack of empire troops.

Not surprised, the ai levels heroes in the most braindead way possible. If the rest of his army doesn't have armor pierce and is low tech they deal practically no damage because only like 6 of them can attack at the same time. Means he's almost fighting a 1v1 against a barbarian, with nehek being reportedly pretty broken.

Unless the chaos brings chosen or giants or sth. Maybe marauder with great weapons.

I agree to agents and lords being too strong in the game. I'm okay with high level lords being wrecking machines, but lvl 1 non-magician lords can 1v2 most low tier stack without problems.
