An ADAD compatible, spamable on bodyshot instakill/almost kill weapon… exactly what I always wanted from a counterstrike game. Finally all those guys with inferior aim stand a chance against me as they can just get up close, spam like a fucker and either I am dead or low enough so a glock would kill me. Thank you valve for this awesome early Christmas present. In all seriousness, we need to talk though… I think the accuracy while jumping or mid-air could be tad better, just failed my 360MLG jumpshot because of that. Please Valve send me the lead-designers e-mail address. Because of my failed shot I am eager to inform him about the sex life of his mother.

I haven't played CS ranked in over a year, and I just started playing again recently. Prior to quitting I was a Gold Nova 2 and struggling. Within 12 games or so I'm an MG2 already and these people in my games are atrociously bad about 75% of the time. These people have no idea how to place their crosshairs, they don't communicate at all, and they seem to have nearly no map awareness.
What the hell happened to the CSGO rankings? People also don't believe me when I tell them an MG2, they think I'm a smurf.

I have never played CS:GO but I don't see what it brings to the table compared to 1.6, from discussions I've had and things I've seen apparently there is a less skill in CS:GO due to full-auto being more accurate, no tagging, and can't shoot through walls nearly as much which sounds really bad. There seems to be a lot less complexity in how you dodge, feint, trap, and stop to shoot and the information game. It seems to be more reflex+accuracy focused, but there is already this in 1.6 too. I don't really see why I should play it (let alone buy), other than to play a game more people are playing. I still play 1.6 sometimes. Even my friend who has a lot less CS play time as me says GO is much simpler/higher luck factor than source and even more so than 1.6.

There seems to be a lot less complexity in how you dodge, feint, trap, and stop to shoot and the information game. I'm not sure what exactly you mean, but all that is still there and essential. I would say that just the increased complexity of the maps increased the complexity of these things as well. And a very huge deal is the much wider choice of viable weapons. There are a lot of guns apart from the big 4 of 1.6 that can be used in certain situations or spots. Pistols being very strong also adds a whole new dimension to the game.
GO is much simpler/higher luck factor than source Source doesn't count. 
1.6 was/is a great game and some things are arguably better than in GO, but they are'nt and never were supposed to be the same game just with different graphics. They are both CS, but still different games.
I suggest you pick it up during the next sale, which should start soon, for ~4$ and just see for yourself.

tagging : for example in source there is tagging, but compared to 1.6 it is very weak, and indeed in source the dodge/feint/trap/stop game is quite a bit weaker imo for that reason and others. Basically what I said about GO is already what I found in source but I thought it is worse in GO though I haven't tried it. I'll go have a look.
but more viable weapons is definitely a good thing, that's definitely the main weakness of 1.6 along with lack of maps I think

game 1 - lose because the enemy team decided to turn on their hacks and wreck us after it was 13:3 game 2 – lose because we got one troll and 2 total retards. Also no communication at all or any gamesense. Of course they were from eastern Europe… why?! Especially you polish guys used to be awesome teammates in 1.6, what the fuck happened?! Just trying to get my smurf to have a rank so I can play with my friends from university without ruining my rank -.-… game 1 - lose because the enemy team decided to turn on their hacks
EDIT: Also... why can't I kill anything with the AK? Onedeags en mas but just poor hits with the AK...

I thought the amount of cheaters in MM was bad, that's only because I don't usually play casual. In my last 10 games, maybe 1 has been without superman x-ray vision and obvious triggerbots
