You might think it's stupid, but when a lot of things are happening at once and every millisecond counts, just shortening a word with a single syllable is worth it. Everything is shortened to as much as possible. You don't say that an enemy is at "'A' corner", you say "Goose". You don't even say "enemy", you just say a number representing how many you're seeing, direction, and/or weapon, as in "two behind" or "awp window!". And you don't say "grenade" when you can get the exact same information across by removing half of it. And if you're talking about commentators and stuff, they're usually players who are simply used to saying it like the would in game. | ||
