ill wait for a steam sale. Idem. Don't have the funds to just gogo buy an RTS now. I will say though that I support competition for SC2 - gives Blizzard a reason to get off their asses.

Probably not. And really? Why? In a couple of years, games won't be able to be bought physically anymore. You really should get used to it, and Steam works quick & usually flawless. Check it out

Safe to say there are many disadvantages of online only games. Every time I chose to buy a game online I regretted it, so no more of that.

There's a grey goo steelbook edition according to Amazon.
EDIT: Coming end of janaury.

Thanks for sharing, I'll tune in to watch a former B- iccup player.

Is the game a bit too dark or just me?
edit: And dark meaning the brightness.

been playing a while. no one plays multi player as well, do anyone knows if the game is region server based? AI is way too easy, there is nothing hard about hard game speed is kinda slow macro mechanics is cool but i find human's one weird and dull hard to see which unit is which since the graphics is dark, and design isn't so clear and if we go on about the bush vision, it's even worse.
that being said, it's fun, reminds me of the good old red alert 2 but I am too used to the fast paced SC2 style

Is it any good? This thread got me with "original C and C devs"

There's better games and there's worse games. I had fun playing multiplayer and I plan on playing it more, but I can't blame someone if they don't want to spend $50 on it.

Game feels too slow. Ladder should be like 5x speed Its really boring to watch streamers chase down Goo even though they've already won the game. It reminds me of Terrans who lift their buildings to go to the corner of the map to waste everyone's time.
Reddit's review thread is really bizzare. Apparently Brood War/SC2 is nothing but clicks and whistles and games like Supreme Commander has far more strategy than those games.

I've gotta say, you are truly missing out by not using Steam.... Infact I'd say steam is so god damn awesome that it's probably done more to combat pirating of games just by existing than any amount of million dollar lawsuits.
Also, why is the game not available in Korea ; [?

€40 .... that's really expensive. The only games I'd ever pay that kind of money for is AoE4 or SC3
So how good is this game? It's an RTS, so that's great. But, what more? Only 3 factions? Micro? Macro? Is it fun? etc

Isn't there like a starter edition or demo? I tried to catch some of the game by watching streams but it's pointless without having some personal experience to make sense of it.

Yeah a demo would be nice Not going to pay 40 Euro or more without being able to test it myself.
