I'll admit I have less experience with the older games in the FPS genre overall. Actually try the movement of older versions of TF before you claim that it is "replicable" in TF2. Its not and it feels completely different.

This game is going to come out at the end of 2015, or begining of 2016, because they've got the beta of heroes of the storm in january, and david kim said the beta for lotv will be in the first half of 2015, so that leaves the second half to overwatch. Also lets remember that overwatch was titan, so they've been working on it for years, so its no wonder they have almost finished it.

Overwatch reused some of the assets from Titan and part of the team migrated over but Overwatch is NOT Titan.

They released a smaller version of the game and never got large amounts of feedback on the abysmal end-game. Yeah that was the biggest mistake the D3 team made back then. People played the Beta up to level 13 and half of Act I for several months, while Blizzard devs were testing internally the real game ("and then we doubled it"). Nothing good could come from such a disastrous decision.

Would love to answer people's questions if they have any. Most important point for me: The gun play felt really good, the movement felt really good, and the game felt super skillful in general.

I think SC2 has sold 1/4 of that. I believe estimates are for around 3M copies of HOTS and 7-8M copies of WOL.

How "twitchy" is the gameplay and how long did the matches take on average?

You realise that a build up hype unrolls further and further and grabs a lot of young people that never played D2 because they are "too" young? But it's important to have a strong base to build up the hype until it enrolls by itself. Believe me, if Blizzard was actually a noname company and D3 was actually a random Hack'n'Slay there would be little talking about it.

How important are the abilities vs aiming capaibilites, do you feel abilities are the core of the gameplay or an addition on top of tradtional gameplay? How did you experience the divide between the two?

Every map I played was attack and defend. Each side took between 5-10 minutes. Twitchyness - Well, it's not quake. There was not a rail gun mechanic on any of the characters. The Team Fortress comparisons are inevitable, and pretty accurate when it comes to breaking down the pace of the gun play, although I'd say the game plays far more like TFC than TF2. That said, stuff does die fast, and the movement can get super frantic which adds a great deal of twitchyness. The movement is the most exciting part of the game for me. It's not bunny hopping and wall running, but basically every character as a movement ability that enhances speed/mobility. Reminded me a bit of movement in Loadout if you've played that. (minus the crazy rolling) Favorite character is probably Tracer. When it comes to crazy twitchy movement, she takes the cake. Her blinks make her very tough to keep track of, and her killing power is quite high. All of the assault characters felt really good, in fact, but Tracer gets my nod for favorite. The gun play felt great. Aiming is super important, although some classes are able to get away with more reliance on new mechanics. ie: Giant jumping melee monkey with deployable shield bubble. The abilities are also very important, though. As Tracer you're literally constantly blinking around the map, carefully managing your charges. As Reinhart you're tactically using your shield while waiting for the right opportunity to use your charge to close gaps and get in melee range. The parallel to moba is super tangible in this way. The most important abilities are obviously the movement enhancing ones, but there are plenty of really cool utility and damage skills too, whether we're talking about shields, turrets, support, or crazy tornado dragon arrows.

Aiming is just like in Half Life or Halo. Hip fire with always on/accurate crosshairs. Some weapons do have alternate fire, though: Sniper girl (forget her name) obviously has the zoom. Hanzo has three different shots that can be toggled between. Turret dude (basically the heavy from TF) has turret mode, etc. etc. etc.
