They already taught him psychic (TM) , then replaced it with head butt or something....

Eh, I'm not sure it's worth it. He has Confusion (or whatever its name is) already, and would gain more stats from evolving faster. Plus, the risk that he doesn't learn it anyway once the time comes. Or does he try to learn Psychic at level 32, evolves at 33, and if he failed tries again at level 37? ._. Never knew Pokemon worked like that.

They got the TM for Psychic, but removed it for Headbutt. Pokémon that haven't evolved yet learn their Moves earlier than evolved ones. So by delaying Drowzee's evolution they can get Psychic five levels earlier (32 - 37). However, should they fail teaching Drowzee Psychic at 32 (because, you know, Anarchy) they can evolve Drowzee and try again as Hypno at level 37.

woah wtf how did they beat safari zone? I thought they'd be there for days

They used democracy to beat Safari Zone. It is the only area in the game where you have a finite number of tries because of money and punishes the player most harshly for missed steps. It would have been impossible to beat with anarchy, the number floated around is a .003% chance which was probably generous.

Whenever anyone floats around a chance number like that it's usually based in pure RNG, which isn't the case with Anarchy. Generally people know where to go, but they sometimes take detours or overcorrect. You can't use a true RNG chance like that, it's going to be higher.

Someone was arguing that it was safe to say that The Ledge and Rock Tunnel were impossible because he did some random walk math on a spreadsheet and it never finished it. Don't trust random internet facts.
The issue with Safari is only the money, so even 1% odds would be an issue, but if that was somehow removed, I would have liked if they spent at least a day in there.

While you can't use RNG to calculate that, its still true that the probability of success was incredibly low, due to the fact that we would have ran out of money.

I honestly think it would be more legit, or at least more hype, to remove the gold fee and keep trying as Anarchy for at least a day. Removing the steps limit is about the same as switching to democracy.

Well even with the step limit removed they could still get kicked out because they ran out of Safari balls.

I agree. I'm fine with it being done on demo if there was going to be no changes to entrance fee, but ultimately no entrance fee + tons of time spent on attempts would have been best.

The main point though, and I think everyone sensible person in this thread would agree, Safari zone, unmodified would be impossible on anarchy.

It's really impressive how they're getting pokemon to have semi coherent names and now "AIIIIIIRRR" is an actual elongated word. Chat currently fighting over whether to teach Surf now to Lapras or to move on and if they need democracy to do it. It's silly since only Lapras can learn surf so you can't mess up with it so no need to resort to democracy for this.
