YAY FOR ITEM SQUISH Pretty much going make lots of people re understand the game when they come back with there free level 90 lol. Couldn't really see someone who was playing back in LK doing 5k dps getting used to do doing 400k lol xD Or seeing tanks with 1.1million HP xd

so basically their dumbing down item again and continuing to make the game more casual. I guess this is the nail in the coffin for me from ever coming back. Also the story doesnt really appeal to me that much and I dont understand the direction that the story is going now. The only thing that looks interesting the Garrison but too early to tell anything about it. Edit: also item squish is also a welcome change but meh not enough for me

Listening to the Blizzcon stream.. devs already know where they are heading with the next two expansions after this one and mentioned that their "plan" has been to be able to release a new expansion yearly.
Any thoughts my fellow TLers? Especially the "expansion every year" -point, is something that i dislike greatly. We've seen it with few shooting game franchises already and they've gotten 'out of hand' if you ask me.

Well I think that pretty much means that they are not even trying to reboot Titan for the forseeable future. I guess WoW is still way too succesful.

The "expansion every year", they have been saying since they released tbc so I would not be to worried about them actually getting that done ;P

Hell nah dude!!
I've been a tauren since vanilla beta and the new taurens look so SEXY :D

I haven't seen the new models.
I mean the existing models, they look awful. Once I saw the Pandaren models I was like WTF why do they get to look all HD and awesome and I still look like total crap!

Gettin' real tired of leading attacks on Horde icons though.
Can we have a legitimate go at Varian Wrynn or Malfurion Stormrage? Or since time travel's on the table, how about Anduin Lothar?
|
Was a hardcore raider in vanilla and tbc played all of the content/got Gladiator in Wrath... got through the first 2 raids in Cata before i was bored, never bothered pvp'ing as it wasnt balanced well at all in the beginning of Cata... have only spent 2-3 hours in MoP... most of which has been either BG's or alts...
with that said im decently looking forward to this expac whereas i never had any interest in MoP.
everytime i play WoW its one of those "im tired of this game... but even after 10+ years there still really isnt a better option for MMO's"

I'd be totally cool with the Horde killing Varian and Malfurion tbh. They're both horrendous characters; Malfurion is an apathetic, flawless douchebag and Varian is a story vacuum.

That's all the models they showed off. Obviously not all of them are done, tauren were apparently finished only days before the con.

I guess I'll give you Staghelm. I only throw Malfurion (and Tyrande, really) onto the table because I'm what one might call an Illidan fan and... yeah.
If the current speculation / potential leaks are true I guess I'll be sort of sated though.

I read a blue post not to long ago saying that the reason for the item squish was the game client actually calculating all those numbers was giving them issues and if they went with even bigger numbers for level 100 it would be bad.

It also looks stupid quite honestly. People having 550k health in arena and doing 200k crits. Scale the shit down. Power is felt by the percentage, not by the number itself.

Yeah, 32-bit operating systems can't calculate any numbers higher than 4,294,967,295, and while I don't think we would've hit that number without the squish in WoD it was probably better to do it before they have to.

Seriously, I think it looked retarded for people to have more health than lvl 60 raid bosses did. Or to be able to 1 hit them. Few years back you needed 40 to take one of those down, now each of those 40 would be able to solo several of those bosses at the same time? :D

They already hit that number with Garrosh's health. They had to make him heal back up a couple of times in the fight to overcome that barrier.

what the hell does a tank need now? just hp and armor? The tanking model these days has tanks interested in dps stats like Haste, Crit and Mastery. It's all part of the active mitigation model, instead of hitting the 102% combat table cap.
One example is the brewmasters' autoattack crits generating charges of a buff called "Elusive Brew", which can be consumed to increase dodge by 20% for a proportional amount of time.

At every level from 91 to 100, characters will earn a major permanent boost to one of their their key spells and abilities (e.g. a Fire Mage might earn a +50% damage boost to Pyroblast or +30% boost to Scorch).
this sounds like its gonna be he either awesome or horrible on a PVP leveling server

The only "world pvp" is level 90's camping the gates to blasted lands and things like that. There is no world pvp in this game, and there hasn't been for quite some time.

Have you heard about this one? You seem fairly confident that there wouldn't be any 'world PvP'. Sure, there hasn't been much lately. (except Vanilla).
New World PvP Zone
For players looking to engage in PvP combat on an epic scale, Warlords of Draenor introduces a new world PvP zone off of the north east coast of Tanaan Jungle. This new experience involves a raging battle that has no distinct beginning or end—instead, it offers constantly evolving objectives for participants to take part in. There will be items to gather, creatures to summon, and tons of action on multiple levels. While you can enter the fray sooner than level 100, you may find yourself biting off more than you can chew—enter at your own risk!
When first joining the battle, you’ll be presented with objectives based on the current status of the battle. The closer you get to your opponent’s base, the more difficult your tasks will become. Objectives will change at a moment’s notice based on events within the zone, and you may quickly find yourself switching from offense to rebuilding your fortress and gathering the materials needed to do so. There will also be faction-based vehicles—and some Iron Horde war machines—at your team’s disposal.
To provide a truly epic world PvP experience, the number of players and the amount of faction members allowed in the zone won’t be capped. Don’t worry, though—with cross-realm technology, the pool of potential allies (and enemies) is wider than ever.
