Sooo was thinking getting into this again (mainly because like all my old mates that skipped Pandaria are back in and don’t stop asking me too :p).
Question… I will play DPS and we took a large part of our fun out of „DPS-Racing“ each other, so i am torn between: Shadowpriest (played this in Classic, most of TBC, Cata) and knew the inns and out better than 99% of people, scoring in rankings on some bosses despite comparably poor gear and so on… But it seems that this class has gotten a BIG ASS overhaul since Cata and i’m not sure anymore (basically dotless Spriest build is now possible and viable? What? Interesting but.. WHAT?).
Eleshaman… I dunno, my twinks were allways Eleshamans, i kinda like them for some reason but DPS allways seemed pretty suppar :D.
Moonkin... Because Lazers :D
Warlock (Affliction), I just like these for some reason but never actually managed to get one to Maxlevel (i also never got a Mage « up » or any other squishy class for that matter :p).
Any suggestions ?

I have 2x lvl 100 already, one of them being shadow priest (got that one mostly for garrison stuff, but I might just use it for herb and ore garden, since there is plenty to do on my main ) and I can say that it's pretty interesting dps among casters if you take clarity of power. People came up with "dotweaving" gameplay to maximize dmg and it basically plays like this: use mind blast and mind spike to get to 5 shadow orbs, put VT and SWP on target --> DP + insanity --> mind blast for 3rd orb --> DP + insanity and back to orb generating with MB + MS. I did a few hc dungeons with my friends and the 3 dps (me on priest, ret pala and uh dk) were pretty equal. I was a bit behind on bosses when starting with 0 orbs, but if you go in with 5 you'll do considerably more dmg. My main is a rogue though, so I didn't put that much research into shadow priest, beyond the few general pointers.

Your follower level (and follower item level after 100) determines what quality loot you get when they run missions/dungeons/scenario's. Upto a point where you can get raid gear from follower missions if they're high enough level.

Ok im back to work now boo my WoW binge. 2 Level 100s, 680 Legendary ring on warrior, heroics to compete on my alt. 625ilvl warrior.
HOWEVER, i fucking don goofed on my warrior TT. I upgraded all my small/med plots to level 2 not thinking it is so hard to get 2k resources if you do this to get level 3 garrison. Now my warrior is spending most of his time running around Draenor cutting down trees and finding the treasure chests. My alt already had 1.8k resources and is about to get his level 3 garrison before my main haha. Oh well.
Also helpful addons. Makes questing take 8 hours (90-100) and also is good for farming resources. Courtesy of Fragnance.

Here is the leveling guide. Leveling Guide
This is obvious just for those who want to speed run through it to get their garrison going to help farm those epics pre raids.

Uh, that sounds important ><
any guide?
@Pandemona - how hard is it to get the i680 ring? I've only got one of the 3-4 hc quests left

Salvage yard is the specific building you need.

Do the HC quests and hand it in. Was semi bug which still in the game i think where you don't need to complete the 5k apexxis crystal farm. After that you get the 680 ring. The quests after that are farm 125 crystal things from Highmaul and kill a boss in there too.
So very easy.
Going to start my 3rd 100 this week so i can have full farm for both my mains xD Need get those epics crafted before raids!

Sweet. Anywhere else i can go for free loot? I'm seeing people at i630-645 pretty shockingly fast considering it feels like it would take 50 heroic runs to approach 630 (and i have to allocate like, 1.5 hours per run as a DPS)
I picked up Blacksmithing, but my BS skill is level 1 and i'm not sure how big the barriers for entry for draenor crafting is. Can i make useful stuff? I saw the limit of 3 crafted weapons/armor and the upgrade system, but i'm not sure how it works

Challenge mode dailies give 640 epics? I beleive but complete random what you get. Kreps - Method Warrior Gingi - Method Hunter
Those two armories you can see what you can do with the challenge mode dailie since day one lol. You need to get your forge to level 3 to start producing the gear, also you need a minimum of "x" days to buy the recipes or get the crafted mats. Other than that the rest of the epics (see the 665 belts) are Draenor drops.

Outland is the Alliance equivalent to Draenor (horde) so that the server i am on. Queue times i cant say, but 5k plus queues at peak times over the weekend. I haven't seen the queues on evenings as this is the first day back for me. So i would say 1500+ minimum at 5pm CEST

Ty Pandemona, damn dat gear is nice
wishr - just take the queues, they will die down. Here on Twisting Nether we went from 5k queues several days in a row at 9-11pm to 0 queue at those times the day they doubled the server capacity. It'll drop day by day as the expansion hype drops and people stop logging in for far greater hours than their usual play times

The Malestrom Grim Batol
Think those two are nicely populated on Alliance side but not to overly popular. Also if wowprogress numbers are right Outland isn't actually a bad choice.
WoW Progress Numbers When you click this link if you click Alliance it puts highest Alliance population to top.

I've tried all 3 max level talents for Destro and here's my thoughts so far:
Cataclysm - Really good for raid trash/heroic dungeons or fights with add waves that come every minute. Pretty useless otherwise. It's essentially a big AoE Chaos Bolt (it does a little more damage if it crits) that applies Immolate. Poweful spell until you realize it's on a 1min CD and has a 3 second cast time, which is an eternity. Overall: Pass.
Demonic Servitude - Just not worth it. The reason why the 10min CD one is so powerful is because you basically have a 2nd pet that does slightly more damage attacking with you. When it's just him, he's there doing slightly more damage but you miss out on the interrupt from Felhunter/Observer and can't take Grimoire of Sacrifice. That said, it's better single target than Cataclysm and potentially Charred Remains (see below).Overall: Pass.
Charred Remains - Actually a slight hit to single target DPS unless you have 2 int proc trinkets AND Grimoire of Sacrifice. Huge increase to sustained AoE (i.e. unless Cataclysm does 50% or more of their health) and increase to single target assuming the top 2 things. You absolutely must take Grimoire of Sacrifice and Archimonde's Darkness and have both trinkets procced and DS up when you drop 4 Chaos Bolts, then (hopefully) a 5th from a crit Conflag/Incinerate*. Getting that 5th Chaos Bolt is what makes this a significant upgrade, otherwise it rates only slightly above the other 2. If you don't have any one of those 2 talents or both trinkets, the hit to Incinerate damage is going to outweigh the increased Chaos Bolts. Overall: Best of bad options
Going to try some Affliction play, not sure about it post WoD since I'll still be subconsciously snapshotting even though I don't have to ><
*I have yet to try Glyph of Dark Soul (half duration, half CD) which will probably be necessary for any Charred Remains build. I can't believe I just thought of that...

Given that a lot of damage right now is AoE (dungeons...), Cataclysm is personally my favorite option. Charred Remains feels really bad, I dont know if there are many numbers crunched on it yet until raids come out but it FEELS pretty terrible to me... Under the circumstances you described I guess it would be okay, but I'm really not sure.
I like questing with my infernal for fun but neither of them feel like an upgrade. Not what I expected that talent to be at all. (Though, you said you miss out on the interrupt; the doomguard/terrorguard does have the same felguard interrupt as his command ability)
I'm expecting a lot of changes. Everyone says "that's what beta is for" and that's true, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt here..

I thought that ability was just a stun. Full disclosure, it was the talent I tried the least (I used it when farming the daily 100 zones and based dungeon numbers on 2 other warlocks using it). I just didn't like it very much. Charred Remains actually does feel terrible and IMO IS terrible when it comes to solo questing. Really, you don't run out of Embers given how many Shadowburns you throw out while questing, so you aren't getting much of a benefit and are instead just taking a huge hit on your bread and butter spells.
In dungeons, though, being able to Chaos Bolt more often does tend to balance it out.
As far as what feels the best, I agree it's Cataclysm, but I almost never use the damn thing in boss fights so it feels like a waste of a talent.
