The rest of the fights are probably pretty similar, Kuralak (second boss) is quite crazy
Firebolt didn't put up any vids since i joined*, i'd kinda like to figure out recording without the game crashing or see some of his footage myself
*Aside from this wipe, which i found very amusing at the time
The minibosses are real minibosses too, there's a lot of them (4-5?) on the first floor with the first two bosses and they have half as much HP as the bosses as well as some unique mechanics

There are 3, one's a bit bugged so you just sit and dps him, but the radiation bath guy is a fun kiting exercise, and gravitron operator is pretty challenging too, at least until you get the spacing down properly.
Tbh imo (from the few bosses i've tried) x89 feels like one of the most simple fights. Only 5 total mechanics, and one phase. Compared to most other bosses, as long as you don't do something stupid with a bomb, it's quite hard for one individual to mess up an x89 kill, whereas on kuralak if any of the interuptors are slacking at all you're all pretty boned.
I'm really looking forward to monday though, we're having our third proper raid night, and we only have kuralak left. Also we might actually have more then 16 people now :D (20 man the dream)

:')
Phage feels harder than kuralek, maybe people are just less practiced there, it's quite simple but obviously bombs are killing everyone or else it'd be dead by now.
Its not that its hard its that it requires real coordination between people. what happens is that after running their heads into a wall for a night or 2 they'll think "we'll just go after the other boss and come back fresh tomorrow" then they realize just how fucked they are and stop showing up.
congrads on phagemaw its a pretty fun fight I think.
When we got phagemaw, there was only ~2-3 seconds on the timer, with nobody dead. That's pretty crazy~
I was only off the boss for half of p2
my damage was varying A LOT between attempts, i would do exactly the same thing and sometimes after 500k damage i'd have 6k DPS, other times i think my peak was 7.6k. Hopefully that's evened out some with the drop and rampage buff+change
Here's the vid:
The combat lasted 6 minutes and 25 seconds, and we passed it by 2.3 seconds.
Reduced the amount of Assault and Support Power gained through runes and items (not including Weapons) by 25%. Adjusted the Assault and Support Power gains per point of primary attribute for the Engineer and Warrior. They have been increased to .61 from .37
Didn't see the "items" part before.
A 70 assault power item previously needed 190 brut to match it.
Post-patch it'll need 86.
RIP pell databoard~ <3
There are several items i no longer have to feel terrible inside for not circle-mining-for-100-hours for.

Oh wat...
So my pell databoard and pirates bane are no longer BiS
I was so excited to be able to rune the databoard too :s
(Although this probably isn't as big a chase for light armour classes, since our scaling from primary stat didn't change. Still the random AP nerfs though :S)
Love seeing the progress everyone has made, and a TeamLiquid Thread on Wildstar! I am Bradwan in game, part of Enigma. Going to start following this thread closer, but in the mean time. If you have any questions about Medics or Boss fights, i would be happy to give tips and tricks.
B-Roll (and others i guess) - i'm kinda looking for some info
1; Perfect warrior DPS priorities, including how to open a fight when you do/don't get lucky with a crit proccing breaching strikes, etc. The questions like "is it appropriate to sit and autoattack the boss in the hope of critting to activate breaching strike so that you can have another 2 cooldowns to reset with innate" etc
Ideally i think i'm starting with high KE, for example on phagemaw you can sprint around to get KE up because combat starts 7.5 seconds before the boss hits the floor - then applying smackdown, hitting it 1-2 times, gadget+powerlink, rampage, breaching/savage if possible - R - rampage, then start DPS prio/rotation.
Usually i'm doing..
Smackdown Rampage if possible Breaching+savage is rampage is down and breaching is up, or KE is very low like 500 for some reason auto to reset rampage and refill KE power link hit whenever it's up if people are in range
I want some do's/don'ts for innate+trinket usage in general, and also the big question of how important smackdown actually is and if i shouldn't worry about having it down a quarter of the time, or if i should stop casting halfway through rampage to put it back up. It's really annoying to stop what i'm doing every 8 seconds to get ready to apply it again. General warrior info is good, i used to actually read about my class and theory quite a lot and i didn't find a convenient place to do that for wildstar yet
Hes a medic not a warrior. I'm actualy very happy we have an enigma member on teamliquid I hear good things from them.
I'm a warrior and what you want to do is hit your trinket rampage breaching then hit r rampage breaching before going back to auto attacking and do that every time they're up.
Smackdown is super important do you know how much raid wide dps it increase's? combine that with your power link as well as armor shred and you're literaly best aura monkey NA(past espers raid mandatory -8 deflect chance).
prototypes is fun. You can go boss mode and enigma style it up by cleaving with 2 of the bosses at the same time. otherwise you want to stay on the fabricator with your whole group outside of tanks so you can focus down the bombs and the repair droids (both are highest priority to kill as they spawn) There will be a black hold generation where a group of people will be drawn to the center of the map and they have to kill the black hole to escape. there is the thing where people get thrown into the ceiling and given a color circle under their feet and they have to find the corestponding bubble to stop taking damage and start droping dps increaseing circles (I hear this is bugged right now and you don't see what color is under your feet also jump while this is happening as walking on ground equals taking damage). Then there is the waves that the raid has to look out for and avoid. Then the fabricator might randomly switch where he is at some point in the fight with another robot.
I knew he probably wasn't warrior, but he'd know some decent ones or maybe a good website~
I'm a warrior and what you want to do is hit your trinket rampage breaching then hit r
Ok, i have like 14% crit chance. I hit him ~5 times with one auto then 4x rampage, i don't crit, i can't cast breaching. What now? Hit R? don't hit R? Blow global after global on hitting him once for the 14% crit chance so that i can cast breaching? I'm trying to ask the questions about non obvious stuff, and this is one of quite a few situations where i'm actually not sure what to do, so i just kinda hit buttons until it goes away. Even with the Crit % buff, i sometimes hit 10 times without critting at the start of a fight.
I got into that situation where i had to just press R without breaching, or stand there whacking the boss hoping to crit.. probably a dozen times while attempting phagemaw on the night we killed him - there is a LOT of damage going out here during MoO and initial combo's, talking like 150k damage in the first 8 seconds. It's really hard to just stop, hold your finger on "1" and wait for a crit, unless you're sure that it's a good decision. Our damage was really close, so i kinda wanna improve that - being 2.3 seconds away from wipe on a fight that lasted 6 minutes and 25 seconds is nothing short of luck, we didn't play close to well enough to guarantee that kill, a lot of stuff just went right and it probably wont go right next week.
Smackdown is super important do you know how much raid wide dps it increase's?
No i don't have any clue whatsoever, that's why i was asking I don't even understand the debuff, how it works as a % etc.
Ok, it reduces his resistances by 10%. How much resistance do bosses have? 30%? 70%? If he has 70% resistance, then everyone is doing 0.3x normal damage, and by applying this they will do 0.4, which makes it a 1.334x DPS increase. That's insane - but that doesn't seem to be the case. Does the math even work that way?
If he has 50% resistance and i apply this, is it now 50 - 10 = 40%?
or is it 50*0.9 = 45%?
How much does that resistance matter in terms of raidwide DPS, is it just an insanely good debuff to the point where i shouldn't hesitate to lose 100k damage on a boss fight because having 100% uptime instead of 50-70% would make up for it 5x over?
