EPTedit: I feel like the game, at its core, is a good and extremely fun game. The problem is there are so many surface level problems that make it hard to enjoy.

feels nice to hit it gold where it really matters.. At least until the rune patch! I'm in an odd position ATM where i really want to work on improving my gear, but i have like six pieces of crafted gear with bad slots so it'd just be wasted money if i worked on those. I'm just looking at the other slots now. Hands+shield+gloves+implant BiS is BOE, total cost for all is like 100 plat. so the stuff i have equal/better to pre-raid BiS on.. Weapon (excluding pvp and some BoE that i've never seen) Shield (excluding 20 plat BoE) Helmet, shoulders, chest, legs, boots, support system Gloves (excluding 40 plat BoE) Gadget My implant is pretty good, but trying to replace it with the Elyona one. That would make it best, excluding high plat cost BoE. that only leaves weapon attachment, where i have two pirate's banes - the malgrave drop is better, but probably won't be post-rune changes. so tldr; hands+shields+gloves+implant, upgrades available but expensive. Ignoring for now. crafted gear: Just a matter of slots, which will be turned upside down in a few weeks. Ignoring for now. Implant: Doing Elyona actually.. i don't have as much work to do here as i thought. Gotta fix my helmet special. | ||

Yea but i check the AH somewhat regularly and IF there is a 4-slot up, it's usually either some of the worst sockets imaginable or it's for sale @20 plat.. With the way we'll be able to pick and choose three sockets, it seems extremely expensive to take 4 probably good sockets, vs 3 literally ideal ones. Some other gear will becomes "better" than crafted when it consistently has 5 decent slots instead of having 2 slots of questionable quality, so i think it will be replaced and it's not worth going crazy and farming 100 plat over. I have 1754AP now unbuffed, a lot of that because a few of those BoE's (databoard..) are actually extremely good, some of it because i have bad sockets and like seven weapon specialist rune of strikethrough etc. I'm still using the impact weapon too ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/Ndp3ObA.png) | ||

But won't you still be able to change the slots on a 4/5 slot chest? Just not add any more It's at least worth buying a crappy 4/5 slot chest as insurance if you're unwilling to craft for it. It'll probably be very high up on the bis lists at least til GA, and getting drops from GA takes ages~ | ||

The rune slots are bad so they're just sitting in my bank for now. | ||

You can only re-roll once, so if you have to do it on 3-4 different slots then it's very likely you wont get the rune slots that you want on a terrible 4slot bit of gear (hopefully, all of them would be good) Any crafted gear will be able to go to 3 slots though, and it will be easy to get the exact three slots that you want on it I'm not building up a massive bank and then breaking it to have 4 "good, hopefully great" runes instead of 3 perfect ones - on some gear that'll be worse than raid drops | ||

And for Stalker/Warrior, 100% chance to get either Brut or AP with a re-roll. (only logic runes don't give AP nor Brut) And even if you do get a Logic slot, drop a weapon spec rune of strikethrough in there. Actually, looking at the changes again, every single rune is useful.... Get those 4slot pieces man Rune slots and what I think is the best way to fill them post-patch (stalker), rated from best to worst Omni: Duh Fire: Weapon spec AP Air: Weapon spec AP Fusion: Unfair Advantage AP (Stalker only, AP for warrior I guess) Water: Weapon spec Brut Earth: Assassin Brut Life: Brut Logic: Weapon spec strikethrough Honestly they're all pretty good lol, if you factor in that you can reroll any slot into one of 2 others.. you can go with 0 Logic/Life slots in your gear if you want. I imagine by "perfect", you mean only the 3 AP runes, but Brutality is getting buffed (certainly for stalkers with brutality mastery AMP) so really there's 7 very good rune slots... I think this patch is overdoing it tbh, but at the same time I'm pretty happy with the massive DPS increase that'll come with it. | ||

I'm not sure what'll happen to damage exactly, but it'll be pretty crazy. Ty for rune writeup Brut is pretty shit atm, you need to get 41 of it to match a +15AP rune. You can look at one of those implants(?) like the pell databoard that gives 70AP, and it's like shit, that's 190 brutality worth of DAMAGE. Those items with 50 brut don't even compare. Of course there's the brutality tiers giving AP to take into account, but it doesn't make up for it, not even close. In the patch, they're buffing it to be 1.65x as strong as it is now vs raw Assault Power which is just a ridiculous change, i disagree with doing this kind of complete stat reworks halfway through a raid tier, but current itemization is confusing. AP is insanely good on warriors because they naturally have very little (it's worth 1.5x as much as some other dps classes?) while mainstat is good but also just bad vs AP, finesse is terrible, moxie and strikethrough/crit ratings are not terrible They'll also be adding like 300AP to all of the warrior weapons i guess, since they're normalizing AP. Instead of 2k being really awesome for one class and 3k being awesome for another, they'll both be at ~2.5k~~ | ||

1 brut = 0.5 AP atm, surely the warrior innate does not affect this equation? For stalkers it's 0.65 thanks to brutality mastery, I like having capped brut to get the milestones as well. Also any loss of innates is compensated by more AP on weapons and the brutality change. I don't think we are going to lose DPS from the stance removal, or at least they are trying to prevent it from happening. | ||

1 brut = 0.5 AP atm No, sadly you're wrong and while 100 brutality gives 65AP for a stalker, it only gives 37AP for a warrior! Do you see my issue now? (: Such stat weights make items that give raw AP such as runes and that pell databoard thing ridiculously overpowered compared to other gear, and it's also just outright confusing. If an item drops with 100 brutality and another drops with 74 assault power, it's a 14% upgrade for the stalker but a 100% upgrade for the warrior. It's mindless to even allow stalkers to roll on it, even if it's medium armor - and that entire train of thought is ridiculous. If there is a stalker DPS and a warrior DPS, and two raid drops: Medium armor, AP chest Heavy armor brutality chest and the correct choice for gearing for highest raid DPS is to salvage the heavy brutality chest and give the medium armor to the WARRIOR, then something is seriously wrong. I don't know if any med armor, high raw AP stuff drops, but if it does then i imagine that scenario would actually happen at some point with the current itemization before drop 3 fixes. Not only is it harder for warriors to get AP (the elder gem weapon has ~250 less, for example, as well at getting 0.37 instead of 0.65 per brut) but AP is worth exponentially more as you have less and less of it. +500AP is godly when you have 1.5k AP, but it will affect you much less if you have 2.5-3k | ||
