On a somewhat related note, here's a game called E's Laf that's totally free and has decent netplay:

On campus during our training sessions (basically only Mahvel/anime/a lil KOF on the side), mad people are picking that up now.

Didn't really look too hard into it, but there's more people on campus playing Chaos Code than there is playing 13 lol.

Since there is a Capcom sale on steam right now I'm wondering whether or not to get Street Fighter X Tekken. I played the game at a friends a while back and really liked it (don't shoot me) but I'll mostly play online and I've heard the netcode (PC) is ass.

Is it worth picking up and will Capcom ever fix netcode?

Sfxt is a nice game. Much fun but unfortunately the PC version is really bad online and it really seems like Capcop wont be doing anything about it. As much as I like the game I woudn´t recommend it for online play on PC.
