I agree the writing feels awkward, which is strange because I thought it was really good in the Witcher. Every character I encountered in W3 no matter how minor felt completely believable to me. So I think its strange that it looks like they might have issues with it now.
TBH english dubbing and lines of every Witcher game are magnitude worse than original PL version, and sounds awkward, with the exception of Hearts of Stone - wich did really good job with that.
Well since I dont speak polish I unfortunately dont have the ability to compare. However, as I said, I think the english lines and voice acting in W3 was absolutely superb. Nothing awkward about it. So if the polish lines are even better, kudos to them.
What weve seen from cyberpunk so far though looks stiff imo. It feels like it's been written instead of natural dialogue. Maybe its the change of setting that CD projekt red is not used to? They are great at writing miserable medieval style peasants, maybe not so much at dystopian futuristic style troglodytes.
A graphical “downgrade” from years old screen shots of an unfinished game. Anyone with a basic understanding of how video games are made understands things change during the course of development. Like a whole lot. People who claim that this “downgrade” is deceptive are just asking for companies like CDPR to never release video or screenshots of early build. I would prefer companies not cater to the ignorant, but sadly those seem to be the loudest video game fans pre-release.
It's not really unexpected that the characters are talking like they are from a movie. What do we expect oppressed Eastern European peasants and their lordly nobles to sound like? In the Witcher, they sounds exactly like that and so they may sound "natural" as they conform to exactly what we expect them to sound like. What do we expect Cyberpunk 2077 people (only 59 years in the future!) to sound like? What media do we have to form that impression. What type of media and how are dangerous, skilled people doing odd jobs with guns are normally depicted like? They are in movies, so they are characterful like movies and sound like they are in the movies. Of course, it is also a 40min trailer, the narrator sounds like a cool guy trailer guy, and there characters sound like they are from a 40 min movie, because that's exactly what you would make people in a 40 min trailer sci-fi trailer sound like.
I think most people are griping about the delivery of the words. A lot of it is just flat. It doesn't come off as it should, like a conversation, but instead sounds exactly like people reading a script with no emotions attached.
I expect that what we saw will change. I'm not wanting this to be the final product. I'll wait and see what they drop E3 when they announce their holiday 2019 release date.
If anyone had concerns over the UI features like damage numbers or health bars, CDPR said they are removable, as should be every other element of the UI just like in TW3. As for the dialogue, the tabletop emphasizes how style precedes substance and it always had that cheesy 80s dark sci-fi action movie tone, so I feel it's appropriate. Maybe a little less of the teenage level swearing and quipping, and it would be better.
I'd be astonished if this game was releasing by holiday 2019. It is fully playable from beginning to end for the main storyline they said, but with a game of this scale and magnitude I expect a great deal of time committed for side content, polishing, QA and adjustments to the gameplay and script as taken from reactions to the gameplay demo. It may have been in development for technically five years, but they've only been apply full studio pressure since like mid-2016 I believe. I predict 2020, and possibly July 7, 2020 for the (20)20/7/7 release date.
I'm sure they'll release the game as close to complete and then shower us with free dlc. So either way, we won't get a complete game. But it'll be close with minor patches for minor problems.
I always assumed this was next gen game, I doubt we will see any hardware releases this year. Unless Microsoft throws a Hail Mary once more at E3 this year.
The PS4 can handle this game as it is now. Not releasing it this year doesn't make any sense. You can use Cyberpunk 2077 2 as the system seller for PS5 or whatever Microsoft does with Xbox (rumors of testing an all digital console this year). It would be best to have this as the swan song of PS4 along with Borderlands 3. End the year with PSX and announce that PS5 is under development/being tested by devs.

PS4 can't even handle Anthem
I think their original plan was to release it on current gen and next gen consoles.
Since nothing is really known for next gen consoles (streaming games?) it's impossible to judge what is actually going to happen. Would love a release for winter 19' though, since I am a PC Masterrace player anyway xD
That video doesn't really say anything new or useful to those looking forward to the game. Except that we may have to wait a very long time before it is ready.
