Is there a guide written somewhere about EVs and IVs? I honestly have no idea what you guys are talking about.

I have some extra sync Ralts over here. I am pretty much just missing Impish and Bold but I am willing to trade em for anything right now, but would be nice to get the last 2 natures via trade if possible. :3

EV's and IV's. EV's are a lot easier to understand and tbh I still don't fully understand how IVs affect the stats exactly, I just know the higher the IV the better the growths are

IV adds to the base stats of a pokemon, from 0-31. So at level 100 a pokemon with 31 attack IVs will have 31 more attack than one with zero.
edit: finished a perfect dratini finally -___-

edit: finished a perfect dratini finally -___- I am trying with double 5IVs at the moment and I'm getting mostly 3 and 4 IVs. Looks like when it picks the "5", you can get overlap on both pokemon? RNG still hard ;

yeah it picks 5 from both parents, so it can pass over their best stats sometimes. Think I had like 10 from 5 x 5 before I hit a perfect one.

hmm any 3-4 with a nature that is more geared towards a physical dragonite? if not I will take that one ^^ in game name?

So you got a perfect Adamant Dratini? Nice!
Sorry VayneAuthority, I just released one because it was not what I wanted.
edit: Farming another set. I will give you an extra if I manage to get a 4

Perfect Mild, I'm making it a mixed rain sweeper like the 4th set down on this page for 100% accuracy Hurricane+Thunder.
^^Mild is unfortunately Special but if you still need it later just send trade request for Alex

Just remember that rain got super nerfed other whys everyone would be using Hydro rest Goodra.
Although Gooey infestation has some merit.....
Well I know what I'm doing today T_T

@blahz0r, think you can trade me a nice dratini as well if you can get a spare?

I may open damp rock on politoed for more turns but I'll probably just run backup manual rain dance on gastrodon (holding damp rock) over earthquake.

should I use moody octillery for the lolz?

Its a shame rain lacks a second set up like Charizard / Ninetails or Hippowdon / Ttar but Gastrodon is really good sap sipper bait which is awesome.

Battle spot allows it so yes
@Blahz0r I'll take any multiscale dratini you have left over by the end I don't mind breeding for a few years (Jack in game)

Every other weather has 2 non ubers that can put it up on the field (Hail may have 3 depending on how mega abomasnow's snow warning works). Rain is the only one missing out.

I have a question. I've never done competitive battling in any pokemon game and am trying to get acquainted with it all, catching loads of dittos atm. I'm trying to figure out a team style I might like so I'd like to try and compare styles to other strategy games. In Magic the gathering I loved playing blue decks because I liked controlling what my opponents could do.
Is there a team make up of pokemon that might be similar to a control style? I would guess maybe a team based on laying traps like stealth rock and spikes and then forcing swap outs to deal the damage? I dunno. Like I said I'm super new to all this and any advice is appreciated. FC: 2466-2684-0883 if anyone wants to add me. PM me yours so I can add you. :D
