I probably should bring a false swiper for times like these. Beldum/Metang/Metagross have a catch rate of 3, which is the lowest possible catch rate, same as most legendaries. I caught every Pokemon in Y/Black 2 in a Pokeball. I've caught like 5 Metangs in Y so far, but Metang in Black 2 is the only Pokemon that made me give up. I threw about 200 Pokeballs across several Metangs and then just gave up because it's not even a legendary.

Yeah, I'm dreading this already. Was so excited earlier in the game when I found bagons on the route before the second gym. Then I realized I wanted a DD Salamence . Now people are reminding me about catching ditto's too

a tip: you can get a modest ralts with synchronize from the league champ as a gift after you beat the game.
makes it quite easy to catch modest ditto at least^^

Freaking bored. Dumping all the Axew's I have mass breed into Wonder trade.

Anyone got a pokemon with pokerus yet?

Guys, would you buy the XL or the normal 3DS if price isn't a concern? Like, how does the bigger but more pixelated display fare against the sharper smaller one? Also which one has the better grip? The XL is probably the better choice, but you know, just to make sure there isn't a glaring flaw. Does anybody have a 2DS? I don't know about this one, I would feel kinda silly holding it :D
Edit: Sorry to disturb you with generic 3DS questions, but I figure most of TL guys who own a 3DS play Pokémon recently :D

I think the XL is better. It actually makes things more clear rather than the other way around imo.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know that.

Ew. That is annoying. You'd think they'd be nicer about these things when they basically set their game in France.

Haha yeah, indeed. Weird that there's no bundle pack yet with a 3DS + Pokémon.

Got one on the first day, if you still need it send me a PM

For friend safari, does the other person need to have you added as a friend too, or if you just have their FC it will show up?

if anyone figures out the answer to this please let me know:
can aurorus be bred with some one like noivern to get boomburst? 140 ice stab with no drawbacks...drool
if so you could completely EV him to be a tank and not have to worry about special attack at all as he would 1 shot pretty much all dragons that dont resist it
|
Aurorus and Noivern are in different egg groups, so they wont be able to breed with each other. But until someone figures out the egg moves in full, you cant say for certain what works and what doesnt.
Its not possible directly, but we dont know if its possible over breeding chains

Here are some interesting things I figured out that aren't readily available on google and wanted to share
1. Restaurants max out at 25 "items" per run. IE: The sushi place will give you a maximum of 25 big nuggets per meal 2. Restaurants want you to spend EXACTLY the number of turns they request battling. Doing this flawlessly for 5 courses nets you a star by the meal you ate. IE: * Double Battle Triple Battle * Rotation Battle 3. Not entirely sure on the conditions for this, but visiting the same restaurant a bunch of times (and possibly also getting perfects a bunch of times) lowers the entry cost of the restaurant.
I pay $90,000 per WOW visit (the regular price is $100,000), and with Prize Money 1 I get ~96k for 5 battles + $168,750 for 25 Balm Mushrooms, for a net gain of about $175k. This takes about 6-7 minutes each meal for over 1.5 million/hour
If anyone knows about how the restaurant cost decrease works, please send me a PM. I am interested in finding out how much of an initial investment it takes to make Sushi High Roller worth it.

I have the XL, and it's not that bad outside of text which does become a little less clear because the aliasing pixels get larger too
It's just like anything else -> hard edges / high contrast work require more pixel density, everything else doesn't get affected that much. It's why things like animation benefit so much from HD more than movies, imo.
Larger screen does give you more leeway in terms of the sweet spot for 3d viewing though.

Well there goes any hope of using Metagross / Bronzong to stop Power herb Xerneus...
