Clawitzer learns pretty much every move I'd want on it, but I dont know which 4th move I should use and which EV spread. + Show Spoiler [Current plans] + Mega Blastoise@Blastoisite Modest/Bold 252 Sp.Atk, 96 Def, 152 HP Aura Sphere Dragon Pulse Water Pulse Aqua Jet/Dark Pulse

+ Show Spoiler [Stuff I like ] + Loved the fairy type although I think it needed to be a tad weaker offensively Loved the mega evolution mechanic although I think the mewtwo evolutions are both worse than the original (With the exception of a Darkrai check when sleep clause isn't in effect) Loved the changes to breeding / super training Loved the new legendaries and despite initial criticism I've found that niche where Zygarde is actually good (in OU) Love the ability to change music in the battle spot (<3 champion theme) + Show Spoiler [complaints] + Really needed more post game content. I liked the looker side story but after that there really isn't much. I've already got 3/5 of the battle maison statues and once the pokebank comes available I'll have all the gen 1-5 pokemon there (Minus meleotta because I was out the country when that event was on) Coumarine's god damn tram. Friend safari in general really. I hate the static 3 pokemon per file and how you have to constantly be going in and out of the safari when you want to change pokemon. Pokemon hordes being at a lower level than you. When I first heard about them I thought they would be a lot like monster houses from the mystery dungeon games but they were just something you ended up running away from because their speed values were so low. Although yes they are useful for EV training.

That reminds me of another complaint--which is how underwhelming Zygarde is compared to the two version legendaries. TBH it really just felt like an afterthought to have Zygarde in the game at all--especially since Mewtwo is already in the game as *the* post-game legendary.

My only complaint really is their obsession with battles of 3 pokemon online, just give us full 6 pokemon battles already...

They should really have the option to do both and just let the community decide which one.

I chose water pulse, dark pulse, and aura sphere as they mesh with his ability and give great coverage (fire, ground, rock, normal, ice, dark, steel, psychic, ghost). I chose ice beam because though it has less power it offers greater coverage than dragon pulse, most importantly for grass. Assault vest is great since it doesn't do anything but attack anyways and covers his weakness to most electric moves.

I wasn't speaking to how strong he is in competitive--more that stylistically it's not all that exciting, and there's no real story to it the way there is for the version legendaries. It's sort of just there.

Pretty much how I run my Clawitzer, except that rather than having Trick Room support, I have Sticky Web support instead. It's the same thing really, except that Claw doesn't get outspeeded by everything and anything if I don't my support up. The only other change is that I use Scald instead of Water Pulse. For 10 less power, you have the chance to burn, which helps take down Walls, and sometimes completely neuters some pokemon like Mawile. And Burn is so much more reliable than Confusion.

Yeah trick room has it's problems but it's fun using it to play super aggressively with pokemon no one uses. Sticky web has issues as well (rapid spin, opponent ALSO has sticky web, trick room) but yeah, nothing should be unstoppable. I might have to consider scald, didn't really think about it given mega launcher. Burn too stronk.

All of the changes they made to make attainment of perfect pokemon easier are great. And should open the gate to more people getting interested in playing competitively. Albeit I think GameFreak can still make it better by adding in options to not scale to level 50, and having full 6 on 6 random battles. Pretty happy with how they balanced fairy. At this point, I don't feel any of them are too strong as only a handful of pokemon were given the typing, and I can think of 3 that will be used primarily for this typing,Togekiss, Azumarrill, Sylveon. Well there is Mawile to but I feel it's the attack power of his mega evo that makes people use him. As for Mega Evos, I think they are balanced pretty well. It takes away your hold item slot for the potential of an upgrade. I feel like some pokemon won't get their MEvos used much as it has a marginal power upgrade over using Life Orb (e.g. Mega Houndoom). Some are very interesting. Mega Garchomp turns him into a Kyurem-B-esque wallbreaker. Mega Pinsir and his flying STAB Quick Attacks. Mega Gyarados can use his MEvo to sacrifice his EQ immunity with the ability to punch through the EQ immunities of his opponents. I think there's more potential for MEvos out there. There are definitely some NU/RU pokemon that will get a lot of love should they be granted a powerful MEvo.
