if they can take that many hms use one of them, strictly speaking, unless youre playing a competitive team, surf/fly are good on your story pokemon too

The 3 star restaurant in Lumiose seems to be the best money easy if you just kill everything in one turn, use prize money power if you want (but not needed), and just do it over and over.
On an unrelated note, breeding is far more satisfying when you can actually see progress. Currently have a reuniclus with 5 perfect IVs, though has attack as perfect one, and not HP, so now am up to that stage where I will try to either get the 5 I want, or a 4 IV one that has hp but not attack, to then breed that with the 5 IV one until I either get perfect IVs or miss out on attack. Most tedious part was getting right natures and abilities set up on both genders..

well I now have the female with the right nature and ability and 5 ivs (4 of which are desired) and then male with 4 ivs (inc the one that is missing, and then 2 more which are desired), destiny knot on one, everstone on the male (since it also has the right nature, ability), and now I think I just breed until I get either perfect 6 ivs or 5 where attk is not the one that's max......and then on to seeing what else I need to breed! Something easy. :S
EDIT: Ergh two more 5 IV mons, and then a 4 IV male, all of them still have max attk, some got max HP now...sigh..
DOUBLE EDIT: Well sadly the 4 IV male does not have either of the ones the 5 IV females would add to the pool, so there is no extra overlap, meaning nothing would change in terms of chances. Guess I just keep going with this pairing for now xD
TRIPLE EDIT: Next batch of five provided a male with 5 IVs inc HP, so with two 5IV mons, even if both have the undesirable one, I surely have a good chance of getting that max IV mon :D

So how good is the new pokemon? Because to me currently the only reasons to buy a 3ds would be this and the new fire emblem. Maybe the resident evil.
The new Mega-development sounded awful in the test i read (and the test was from a magazine i consider being paid by nintendo) and i read that you have to go to some pokemon-days to get them for some of your pokemon. I just dont feel like driving 200 kilometers just to be able to use a new feature that is supposed to be part of the game anyways. Is it as bad as it sounds? Or is mewtwo the big exception and you get 99% of them in the game? Do they enhance the experience or just a useless gimmick like accessory for your pokemon?
Is exploration fun and the world good designed? Is it stuttering a lot?

You get 99% of the stones needed for mega evolution in-game easily, why would you drive somewhere? Outside of getting some sort of special event pokemon or legendary pokemon.
Enhance experience by far. Maybe think about getting a 2DS, cheaper and doesn't have 3D but that's what I bought because I really wanted to play the new pokemon.

sorry about needing to take back the scyther, dizmaul, but is part of breeding xD
the game is fun, not much stuttering, the map is alright, and the 3D does improve the fun of it. Plus there are a fair few pokemon to catch (I am at 521 atm, though you can't get all 718 yet), and other things to do like buying outfits, battle maison, etc. Mega evolutions do look cool and are relevant in competitive play, ingame they just make your pokemon more op.
There is a lack of endgame content if you are not into breeding and making your perfect pokemon teams. If you are, you can be at it forever

Thank you for your fast feedback, that's a relive. I will either lend me a 3ds or buy a 2DS instead. What about the world? The story was always bs, that never bothered me, but the world is imo really important. Is there a feeling (and possibility) of exploration?

thank you very much for your feedback. I breed before already (have a 29 atk and 31 speed adamant Salamence xD) and i read that they enhanced breeding and made creating a really good one a little easier/more possible? In the end the amount of breeding will probably depend on how many friends of mine will start playing it again. With lack of endgame content you mean that the game is over after the champ? How long would you guess is the time for a playthrough (no legendaries, just arenas, story and top 4+champ with ~5 level less on average)? 20 hours? 30? more?

Over world is much better than gen 1,3,4 and 5 but slightly behind gen 2 in my opinion. Biggest issue with it is the lack of a battle frontier like in emerald / heart gold but i'm not too fussed since its only the first games in the generation.

yea if you're not in a hurry just wait for Z, third installment is usually the best. The first release is always a bit bare bones.

Hey guys, I was looking for some help regarding playing Wi-Fi battles in ranked mode. I went to the global link site and created an account but I can't find anywhere to sync my 3ds account or anything of the sort. I did run into a page informing me that new accounts for black and white versions of the game are not being processed anymore but it also states that X and Y should have been up weeks ago.
Is there something (another sign up sheet or some procedure) i'm missing from competing in ranked? I apologize if this is a super newbie question, I haven't played the series since crystal and google results aren't really providing me with any more info.
