Wow, I can't believe you are getting this unlucky. I usually have no problem getting 5 max IVs with the perfect stats in a single after-work night of breeding Pokemon.
What is taking me forever is getting a perfect 6 IV on my mix attacker Hydreigon. T_T

Well the problem is that with Rotom I HAVE to breed w/ a ditto. So I can't take the other 5IV Rotoms and breed them together to cover all 6 stats. Which basically forces me to do 5IV rotom w/ 4 IV ditto. Increasing my probability instead of reducing it.

ergh not looking forward to breeding rotom now  sadly don't have the stuff you mentioned. Other than the kalos region mons, I really only have the odd pokemon like klang or whatever it is called..and as I haven't started breeding yet...... :/ well I figure I can eventually find a ditto safari. Surely.

You guys should probably browse friendsafari to get what you want. I found about 6 different friend safaries I needed in like 20 minutes work, including a ditto one.

There's no reason to look for Azumarill in the friend safari when wild babies are guaranteed 3 perfect IVs. Just catch a wild Azurill and evolve it, and then you'll be good to go for breeding.

Just a random question, what're the best pokemon fo HMs? I'm finishing with quagsire/Farfetch'd letting me have six abilities outside of combat: fly/strength/rock smash/surf/waterfall/cut. Missing dig, sweet scent, not sure what else.

FINALLY got a ditto safari. Now just need to see gliscor and weavile, anyone want to help with that? Also, I want Charizardnite X, for my Y version. After that, it is time to start hardcore ditto catching. Would still love one of your troll rotoms, would save me a fair bit of time :O

Actually the formulas are such that even though you require 8 EV's per stat at level 50, you get your first stat increase at 4 EV's - optimal EV distribution requires a EV's divisible by four but not divisible by 8. Since 252/252/4 is such a common spread, a lot of the level 100 spreads mirror level 50 spreads.
The biggest difference is how you optimize for speed because of rounding at level 50. For example, at level 100, Choice Scarf base 110 Timid pokemon will outspeed max speed Cloyster after Shell Smash (70 base speed), but not at level 50 because Cloyster will have 1 more point. The threats that you can outrun with X amount of EV's changes at the edge cases, and sometimes you need even more speed when you were fine investing less if you weren't maxing speed before.

I don't understand the point of scaling everything to level 50. Why not just let us play at level 100 where the stat growth is at its maximum.

I started playing 3v3 wifi and the whole battle is so different. Setups and stuff is so different and its a lot harder to overcome the "pick 6 strong 1v1 mons", pick 3 based on your opponent and try to be the first to sweep strat. Maybe the people I play just suck or I suck but thats what it feels like.

Well I'd imagine 3v3 is about having a good opener that can handle most popular openers, and then a couple of sweepers that have good coverage, and are easy to set up. What that means for now, I don't know. If I were to try it I'd prob just try Scizor, Rotom W, and Starmie/Mega Gengar/Mega Alakazam

I definitely also think the 3v3 meta should be 2 Mega pokemon in the 6 that you can choose from. It seems like being able to sweep with a good Mega choice to be a strong strategy.
