I can strengthen 10 legitimacy for 100 mil power, but that might be a dlc feature.

@concede vs loan depends on how your manpower is doing mainly. Ming gets lots of money and has a lot of options for expansion, so loans aren't the major problem, but if your rebels make you deplete your manpower it might be more beneficial to just let them get their demands in 1-2 cases and conquer it back. It's annoying to deal with the coring cost and AE though.

It was Kazan HRE -> 1499 revoke, tag shifting to GH, Manchu and Arabia to clear separatism/lower autonomy. Same idea but with a horde. The faster revoke and horde razing made the difference.

Fight Nogai and Muscovy, rush to Livonian Order and spawn Catholic zealots, wait for them to convert and expand into Lithuania/Timurids in the meantime. Hm.. I may have to give that a shot. I failed my Ottoman WC by like 2-3 years worth of time (apparently Spain was a tiny bit too large to eat fast enough, and then Great Britain had to be a prick and support Spain's colonies independence). >_<

Thats some very impressive micromanagment and a lot of exploitation of lessser known mechanics. Personaly i dont like to play like that but its super impressive achievement nontheless.
As to failed runs i once failed One Faith as France by 3 days! I remember i was so disappointed....

So I tried the Kazan HRE rush.. I have no idea how you plow to Livonian Order so fast, it took me quite a while to chop through Muscovy (2-3 wars actually). Maybe I quit on the first war too soon. Oh well, still pretty decent progress. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to convert before the Reformation, but meh. I'm just going for a world conquest. >_>

Also Bohemia got a PU on Brandenburg like 5 years in, so that would probably jack up the HRE take over a bit...

The strat requires a lot of horde and WC experience. Early game pace is dependent on war/economic micro. Can't have loans past the first 10 or so years, have to keep expanding at something like 30dev/year while avoiding coalition and converting to Catholic.

For the first Muscovy war you can CtA Uzbek and declare on Muscovy on the same day. Reason this wasn't mentioned in the AAR is cuz DDRJake couldn't promise that it wouldn't get fixed in 1.25 but it looks unlikely. By calling Uzbek in you can siege one more fort simultaneously if you can get them to attach. Still need to fight battles with your own manpower but can get to 100 war score faster.

I think part of my problem is I didn't realize hordes can have tributaries until I reread your after action report. I don't have Mandate of Heaven, so that doesn't help. I imagine the manpower and gold tributes would help a lot.

Take the capital, add it to HRE via the province interface, it has to be adjacent to or in the same sea tile as another HRE province. Give it back either through selling/return province/ceding during war. Take their new capital. Most of the time the AI will move their capital to the original capital.

I think I finally have a setup good enough start as France to finish a world conquest given my skill level. I initially killed off England and Portugal, then Scotland. I became emperor, passed a couple reforms. Aragon inherited Castile, so Castile only had two colonies in Africa- the rest of the new world is free from colonizers that are not me. Unfortunately, the Protestant Reformation was incredibly strong and I had no chance of stopping it based on where it spawned. So I had to fight a League War with half as many countries on my side. I had Sweden, Spain, Poland, and Lithuania on my side but essentially the entire empire and the Ottomans, and Russians made it an impossible to win (especially since there was no way to help the Polish or Lithuania... didn't help a lot of the HRE minors had 3 star generals ). I did manage to drag the war out long enough that I got a substantial amount of territory from problematic countries. Unfortunately, I had to accept a Protestant victory. I only had to release two Irish OPMs and give about 500 ducats.

So I switched to Protestant, managed to prevent an internal religious war. I have had Valois's on the throne of Sweden and Bohemia for quite a wihle. I managed to claim the Swedish throne and then enforce a personal union. I also became emperor again, and now there are no large rivals left in the HRE except Austria (which everyone hates). So I should be able to pass the inheritance reform soon and then it should be fairly easy from there. The empire is 90% Protestant thanks to the reformation being so strong, so I only have to reign in a prince or two.

My progress in Africa has been slower going than I would have preferred, and I haven't reached Asia yet. But Europe and North/South America are what always give me problems, so I'm fairly confident wrapping these up early should make the rest fairly trivial.

In case you want an easier set up: no-CB Georgia and expand into Asia from there. The amount of ducats you can earn from India will solve all your problems.

I'm probably going to push through Hormuz since I have a mission for it and they're the weak link for the Asian area. And I will also probably simultaneously push through the Spice Islands. And then have Sweden cut through Russia.

I cut through Africa a lot faster than I thought I was going to. I've revoked at this point- only Austria didn't submit. The AI went Polish partition crazy between Brandenburg, Silesia, Austria, and Russia. Also, my conquistadors keep dying mega-prematurely so that's why North America and South America are under so much fog. ><
