used the wrong picture (the other one was console testing)

oldest only. But you only need one to lose primitive status which is the key.
How did u manage to get feudalism spread to itza ?
So my One Faith as Spain is officialy dead. There is a province in world with "realigious zeal" debuff which will last till 1835. Damn. I could make the WC, but that wasnt the goal so i am pretty dissapointed. And also as expected One Faith is actualy harder than WC. I did manage all other achievments i was hoping for, so at least i have that.

Using development. Then accept rebel demands twice and they spawn with it embraced.
are you developing a subject? my last aztec game i managed to reform by like 1480 or 90 but when europeans got there you realize how outmatched even 20k vs 8k is and you get real sad

theres a mod for better text that makes everything bigger and adds more space to menus, doesnt interfere with ironmans either
I'm developing my own province then losing it to an OPM rebel tag. Do this twice and the rebels spawn with Feudalism embraced. You can now actually reform your religion.

couldnt you release them as a vassal? if the province has feudalism they should embrace it right?
My ironman Castile save just got corrupted (might not be the best word for it). Yesterday I had an age 17 ruler with an age 9 heir after ~12 years of regency (3 years queen-consort and 9 years council). Now, I have a new ruler I have never even seen, and my previous rulers have been altered in the ledger as well (and shows 3 different new kings within a single month). Has anything like this ever happened to anyone? EDIT: Every single ruler in the whole world has been changed to something completely different.

OK, but how many times u have to develope the province ? just 1 time ? or do u need to get to a certain developement ? thx for the info btw,

i would assume until feudalism is present, but i assume if its present when they take it they should already have it embraced right? like you shouldnt have to lose it twice?

Does it matter which province u develope ? i am still not sure how it works. when do i know i have to stop developing the province?
Edit: NVM i got it now. question is which idea group i wanna go after exploration =)
Got rights of man recently and have been trying to relearn the game from a Basileus run. I don't have mare nostrum and I've disabled cossacks. I'm pretty sure that Byzantium is playable in any start but I just don't know how to deal with some situations. The possibilities are basically:
1. Ottoman attacks you first, this is rare can be avoided by allying one of the Sunni provinces at the start, though I prefer not to to keep the diplo slot open.
2. Ottoman attacks Albania but Albania isn't allied with Hungary. This is actually the easiest opening as you can just ally Hungary and/or Poland and Austria later and declare after truce ends. I've tried to fight with just Albania and Skanderbeg but can't pull it off. Sometimes he doesn't attach to my troops and I have to just sit there until the Turkish army attacks me or Albania in the mountains.
3. Ottoman attacks Albania who are allied with Hungary. Ally Albania, win the first war. This should be easy but I've failed it a couple of times due to making stupid moves and the AI army being stupid.
4. Otto attacks one of the Sunni provinces. This is a bit tricky as it's very likely that you will no longer be able to rival Ottoman after they've conquered more land, which makes it harder to get alliances. Same goes for if they declare on Albania and Serbia who are not allied with Hungary.
Important points are to build four galleys at the start to get your naval strength up. With a diplo reputation advisor you can eventually ally Austria. If one of Poland, Hungary, or Austria rivals the other but the rivalry is not mutual, simply ally the one with the rivalry first. I saw some guy on youtube win the first war himself by building carracks, baiting the Ottoman army onto one of Venice's islands, and blocking them from returning to the mainland while he cleans up every province. Not sure how realistic that is to pull off every start.
After the first war it should be easy except I'm pretty sure I'm not blobbing optimally. I usually release Bulgaria, feed it by selling provinces and annexing eventually. Is there a better way to feed provinces other than by selling? Otherwise I try to have one vassal at a time, feed, repeat, and split up the wars so that I expand both east and west without incurring AE. Though it seems that the AE mechanic is less harsh than I thought as you can simply build relation with the more powerful countries and countries that you have a truce with can't join the coalition.
Another problem is when smaller countries are guaranteed by one of my allies. I have to either wait until my ally cannot be called to war or if the smaller country is allied with another small country, I attack the latter and make separate peace so the country I want to conquer breaks up their alliance. Is there a better way?
I've been taking influence first, then either religious or admin, then offensive or defensive, not sure which is best, then innovative or another military idea. Pretty sure the first three are best though not certain of the order. Influence seems the most useful for vassaling early.
Lastly, should I always restructure my loans so I have fewer of them and have lower inflation? Should I be taking out loans constantly to build infrastructure? I've been having a lot of money problems until I learned to ask for gold and reparations after every war and also to raise the production development in my Serbian gold province. Any other tips for income?
Actually You can easily lose three first wars against Ottomans if You are not carefull. Its a myth its easy after first war, You need to play slow if You want to have 100% survival rate. Dont know whats Your goal but unless You are aiming at WC or something similiar You dont need to be rushing things.
