In pubs where the overall objective of actually winning the round is entirely unimportant to most people, any sort of tactical or strategical input gets lost instantly.
I get the feeling that the sheer amount of unlockable content drives more than a few players away from completing objectives in favor of opening Battlepacks, gaining new weapons, etc. It takes so blasted long to level your profile up, too....

I don´t think so, the fact that the first thing you see when you connect to Battleblog is your stadistics with the K/D ratio, you skill level and the lvl, makes the people to focus only in their stadistics, teamplay? winning the mach? Nope, is better to camp in a roof and get a 8-1, who cares if your team losses by 300 tickets. >
I miss the old days of Wolfenstein ET

The new patch fucked my game up. I can't load into any maps without crashing. Great game.

Is it that way in your servers? I see why you have your views then. On SG/CN servers people actually play for the objective most of the time. In any game, it's easy to see 2/3 squads at least doing their best to PTFO. Maybe asians want to win more? hahaha.
In servers that I join, you can definitely achieve simple coordination with the other 2/3 PTFO squads(usually clans) quite easily. I just type in teamchat which objective my squad is going for, so that they can concentrate on the rest. The rest of the pubbies who care what they do, they are like Grunts/Spectres in Titanfall. I use their bodies to take the bullets and know the enemy position so that i can take them out.

You're lucky enough to have maps load. Mine can't even get past Battlelog. Stupid plug-ins....

Delete your custom user.cfg file (if you have one) if you have problems loading into the game after the patch. Some people reported that some cfg command lines can cause the game to not be able to load.

Thank you altered that worked for me! :D

Anyone able to make a suggestion on a friendly active EU community server?
|
Now that platoons are finally released, we could make another attempt to have a TL community platoon to make it easier to find people to play with. Is there any interest in something like that?
|
Great idea! It's really hard to find friendly people to play with

I didn't realize on how to use those EXP boosters until now...no wonder why people unlocked items so quickly.
Also, I switched back to playing BF3 over the weekend. It was a nice adventure back to the original Metro spam.

So a big patch has hit yesterday, and im really liking it. A lot of the problems were fixed like the staff shell glitch, M2slams got nerfed, MAA got nerfed, MBT-LAWs got nerfed, revolver delay got fixed... Like always DICE introduced a new bug with this patch, they broke the killcams, but tbh i dont really care that much about kilcams anyway so its all good.

Joined the Platoon, and once I get my new RAM I'll finally be able to play again.
|
Anyone playing? I'm trying to get back into it with Naval Strike but just not feeling it ):
|
I do still play, but about the only thing I can tolerate is the scout heli. The gunplay, the ground game, and pretty much any other game mode besides Conquest/Large is a frustrating ordeal because of the shoddy gameplay, netcode, and hundreds of niggling problems the game still has.
I will say this: Naval Strike is closer to how the game should have been on launch. Finally some decent maps with a large number of objectives for 64 players and a reasonable vehicle pool. Wave Breaker is legitimately good. The patch also didn't break anything, and seems to have fixed the kill cam for the most part. Balance is also very good now.
If this was the state of the game on release day, I would have considered it a very solid title with a good map pool, with promise if they can iron out the problems with OHKOs, latency, netcode, and give us a functional Battlerecorder. Instead, knowing that none of that will ever happen, I can only wonder what might have been.

Just like always, I play every once in a while together with friends, but never take initiative to play by myself since other things are more enjoyable than that. Also will be playing organized with global conflict on saturdays unless something goes awry.
|
I really want to get a group of 5 in EU to start playing or at least try to.

Yeah, it's just a joke on April Fools day, but damn, this is just pathetic and insulting. Netcode is probably the biggest problem that BF4 has that a lot of people complain and criticize DICE for. Besides that, this is also a slap in the face for Wii U owners since there's barely any games coming out for that console.
