Also boost up your post processing -- if you have a high end card -- since it puts more load on your GPU instead of CPU. Otherwise I really love being able to turn off network smoothing. | ||

The only assignments that unlocks you MP weapons are the three choices on the last mission, the rest are just unlocking weapons for SP only. Generally if you want to run this game on acceptable graphics quality with potent fps you need a decent quad core CPU, preferly with hyperthreading, any dual core will never cut it because this game is optimized for 4+ threads. Graphics card wise if you can run BF3 with a decent setting you are set, it doesn't put a lot more pressure on GPUs compared to BF3, so even older cards like 560Ti or 6850 can still get good results as long as you don't press it too much with high AA and DX11 stuff like HBAO. In the beta I was running on Ultra with 2x AA, getting 50-70fps any time on a Xeon E3 1230 V2 and a GTX670, all thanks to the 8 threads of my CPU. | ||

Oh I must haven't been paying attention then, the assignments are based on your mission score, so get as much multi kills and stunt kills as you can! Hyperthread is a Intel exclusive CPU technology that enables each core to operate on two threads, essentially makes a quad core works like a eight-core CPU on multi-tasking and thread-heavy apps, but it's hardware bond and mostly only available on high end CPUs. | ||

Hyper-threading is enabled by default and won't have any downsides because it is on hardware level. | ||

Network smoothing is just the lag compensation -> so its where the server would put shots and hit boxes depending on everyone's ping. It was terrible in BF3 especially when people were vaulting over things since the hitboxes would go from the left side of the object being vaulted over then magically teleport to the right of it (depending on where you are looking). With network smoothing at 0%, yes it will cause graphical errors but atleast everyone's hitbox is exactly where it appears to be. | ||
