the only bug I had was the shiny disco ball texture which is fixed with the driver update and then sometimes I get shot with the enemy/me behind the wall, not sure if it is bullet penetration or something

Ok can anyone clarify for me. What happens, or more exactly when do you receive your battle report XP to your character? When I quit the map before it's over? How about when I crash ? Do I need to finish the map in order to get all the XP and unlocks ?

DICE overdid the verticality on these maps. They're just fucking high ground camp-fests. Really disliking the game at this point.

Really? I find Lancang Dam, Golmud Railway, Paracel Storm, and Hainan Resort to be a bit too flat, and conversely I have few problems with the more vertical maps. To each their own, I suppose, but I grew up with Dragon Valley and Kubra Dam. I prefer it when there's a bit more stuff to hide behind.

Dawnbreaker is ridiculous, though.

During Beta, I was once playing a 64 player game in which more than half of the players were sniping from the rooftops. Developers really have to start realising that they need to make a choice: either they add lots of verticality and cap the sniper limit, or keep an unlimited number of snipers and make things flatter but plenty of terrain that allow players to sneak up on snipers.

Maps in Bad Company 2 usually went for the second approach and it really paid off.

I haven't really felt like rooftop campers have been a real problem in my games as of yet, but it'd sure be nice if it lagged less so I could feasibly shoot back at them.

Jep, especially if they have like 3-4 People on a rooftop. Sometimes even a Chopper with them.

For me, I haven't had an graphics or lag issues. My problems have been that the f------g 'B" key causes the console to pop up, and there's no way to un-bind it.

I have mixed feelings about BF4 so far. sometimes it's fun, other times it's infuriating. I think they've actually made the netcode worse than it was in the beta, it feels like a significant step back from BF3

No, the server lag is just horrible a lot of the time, including the rubberbanding. When you get on a good server with low ping, it does feel good and responsive. It's just that most of the servers seem like crap right now.

Maybe things will settle, I still feel like it's an updaterate issue with the new gun damage/ttk. There's so much insta-death in this and then the killcam shows a guy 3 miles away behind 2 walls and I'm left wondering how and when he was the one to kill me

Yeah, it's entirely server side; I usually just server hop a lot until I find one that doesn't rubberband and then favorite the hell out of it. It's frustrating out there at the moment.

Been doing that since beta, also if you can lead enough you can knock out chopper pilots lol.... Its quite good.
Also if you repeated hit the treads on the tanks with it you can mobility hit them. Its a really great gadget/weapon/gun?

Yep, it's dumb. Tower goes down, half the server disappears. I've heard that borderless works to alleviate this but I haven't tested it myself.

Been playing for ~6-8 hours, which I realize may not be a long time, but so far I haven't encountered any lag/rubber-banding etc. Only problem I get is that my game randomly crashes sometimes after a match is over.

As for snipers camping everywhere, I honestly haven't noticed. It's never felt like "Omg everyone is just sniping" and instead feels like "OMG EVERYTHINGS BLOWING UP AND DYING AROUND ME". Again, I haven't played a considerable amount to say that the game ISN'T a massive camp fest but so far it hasn't been like that for me at all.

I find it kind of hilarious tbh. I never had crashing issues in beta, just performance and now everytime I even load on that map I lock up lol.
When I think of something else, something will go here
