I just finished preloading the game using a VPN as illustrated here. In short, I connected to the VPN, launched Origin, began the preload download, then disconnected from the VPN. ~22GB later the preload stopped at 99%, at which point I reconnected to the VPN and paused/unpaused the download. The preload finished, and the game automatically installed.
If I launch Origin now without being connected to the VPN, the game appears on my list as installed, but it still says it will be "available" in several days time. Once the game is released in Asian territories, I'll try to connect to the VPN, launch Origin (and the game if necessary), then disconnect from the VPN and see if I can play that way. I'll report back when I do.
EA chat helpers have stated that you will not be banned for using a VPN to preload the game in this manner -- or, as the top comment in that thread says, "Soooo your telling me that EA does not control the internet? Please tell me more."

They didn't ban it for BF3 either and I know it worked for BF3 because I did it. Looking forward to getting off work tomorrow and immediately start playing bf4

When using a Asian Proxy you can start playing today 1600.

I just bought the game and premium with mexican pesos. Normally it'd cost me around 180$, which for me is very much unacceptable, but down to 70$... not a bad deal. Thanks for the tip!
Worked perfectly, had no issues.
Hoping for some good times out of this game!

Game is released! I'm playing Europe: TorteDeLininini

I have played a lot of bf1924 bfv and bf2, but I switched to different games the whole clan started to play CoD 4 modern warfare so ... I have not played a battlefield in many years. I guess from the one's I know it would be closest to battlefield 2,
uh actually all I wanted to ask if tanks and planes are too powerfull of if infantry has finally been equipped with decent anti armor/heli weapons
|
They've been equipped with a lot of shit to take down planes and tanks, but its debatable because jets looks pretty sick now
|
Man, I wish I'd just get my goddamn key sometime soon.

It really depends on the player and team. There are plenty of equipment and vehicles to take down the enemy land or air vehicles. It all comes down to coordinating attacks on the vehicle to take it out.

The "levolution" things on the other maps are kinda not that spectacual. Have not seen something gamechanging.

AK-12 burst is still that high rpm? My memory is shit, but they nerfed it during beta. Did they undo that for release or did they simply nerf it such as insignificant amount?
Edit. my bad, i'm terrible.

I agree with the Dam map, however, Flood Zone I really like.

Playing the singleplayer right now, wish it was co-op; but the first mission was pretty gripping! Gonna try multiplayer sometime later though.
What's everyone specs and graphics? I'm trying to maximize visual beauty, but keep a cool FPS
I'm running the 760 with a i5-4670k
